Fair enough. I can see that most of you have (many) more than one REO, so I can always add a wood one later. I am going to buy the black/black Grande.

Should I buy anything else from the REO site before I check out? Feed tubes, extra bottles, etc etc? Any advice appreciated.

I would buy a couple of extra springs and a feed tube assembly. It doesn't often happen that you will need them, but if you do, it is nice to be able to take care of a simple repair quickly and easily. Add 3 or 4 extra 6ml bottles. If you want some atomizers to try juice with, the 2.0 ohm ones are fairly good, and reasonably priced. Also, the 1.7 ohm resurrector cartos are good on the REO.

The batteries you want will be the AW IMR 18650 AW IMR 18650 or the AW 18650 (2200 mAh) AW Protected 18650 2200mAh Don't go with the larger mAh batteries, they will overcompress the spring in the battery compartment. RTD vapor gives 5% off with ECF5

It can't hurt to have an extra spring on hand. If you happen to use too much current or have a shorted atty or carto the spring will collapse to prevent damage or an exploding battery. It happened to me. And the spring changes out easily with a very small Allen wrench. Then you're back in business.

Springs added :)

PS: Love the divine avatar.

Okay!

You guys are great. How many batteries should I get? It takes one, right? But I'd want a few on hand. Is 3 too few?

Also, what charger should I order?

I am getting all my ducks in a row here, and I can't thank you all enough for the help.

An 18650 will last all day, and you need to keep them in rotation, so I would get 2 or 3 of them. The Pila is the best charger and will protect your batteries from overcharging. I use a WF-139 which is cheaper (and get the car charger just in case you lose electricity)

Okay!

From REO I ordered:

Black-on-black REO Grande mod
Extra spring (just in case)
4 X extra 6ml bottles
Extra feedtube and cap (just in case)
4 atomizers

From RTD Vapor I ordered:

4 X 18650 batteries
WF-139 Charger

You guys have been great. I am packing up and leaving work now, so I'll be offline for a while. If you think of anything I forgot that's a must-have, please add a recommendation for me here.

A drip tip or two is a must, IMO. :)

Thanks for everything guys.

Now I wait for the kit to arrive...

I will let you know when it all shows up, at which point I'm sure I will have some more questions.

For now, one final question: providing the REO works out for me, I will want to get one of the wooden ones. When is new stock listed on the site? I'd like to be able to get a crack at one of those before they sell out again.

Thank you again for all the help. Redeyedancer, thank you for the warm welcome. I guess you are the inventor and maker of the REOs? You must have quite a great product. A quick scan down the "Forum Suppliers" section shows 0-5 people browsing most of the subforums, but 41 browsing the REO forum.

I feel like I've chosen wisely.

One last question: Will the REO be suitable for vaping 100% VG liquid?
