Thanks Opal. I appreciate the understanding! Being 36 and virtually homebound is NOT what I had planned for this part of my life!

Anyway. The nanos. I really want to get 'em to work. Got any personal tips? I've been careful about getting the top back on quickly and not losing the little seals. And I don't ever have any leaks. I just get like ZERO flavor and next-to-nothing vapor! I've tried PG/VG blends and a few straight PG liquids since I figured any 100% VG would be wasted.

I just want 'em to work as well as the T3. Or the good OLD CE3s, even. Izzat too much to ask?!
heh heh heh

Well, my SI t3 arrived yesterday and I immediately "doctored" two of the air holes to get the drag right for me. Looking at it, it's really no different than a Kanger except that the battery contact post seems a tad longer or higher. I filled it with SI RY4 this afternoon and have been enjoying on an X2-650 on and off ever since. Vapor production is higher than a clearo and I like a cooler vape, so it's great for me. I have noticed a difference in flavor compared to a T3 on my iTaste and attribute that to the difference in working voltage, I set the iTaste at4.1 volts versus the nominal 3.7 of an X2. Not a big difference and certainly more than acceptable to me. As long as there are no production changes it will be a winner!

I just plugged two holes and put some SI RY4 in on my X2. Plugging those holes sure made a difference and I'm loving the taste! And it doesn't sound so airy either!

You guys and your twists are making me look at them now...

Just cleaned my gunked up T3 with some hot water and alcohol. Let it dry for about 36 hours and it's vaping like new again.

I hate to sound like a broken record but the T3's are a definite winner :thumb:

EDIT: I will say though that when the wick/coil gets all gunked up it has a tendency to go from working well to gurgling and leaking like mad. My second T3 with the lighter juice needed a desperate cleaning and basically stopped working. Here's hoping to the same success I had with the one I cleaned the other day.

Glad they are working for you Debra! I believe the moisture on the battery post is not leaking but some of the vapor that turns back to liquid that drains back down the airhole. If you take a look down the tube after an inhale, you can see a little vapor.. that can settle back down in liquid form. I usually very lightly inhale it up without drawing on the mouthpiece.. hope you understand my meaning.. sometimes it can accumulate giving that gurgly sound. I haven't gotten any vodka yet so for now I just soak in hot water and let them air dry overnight. I will get some though especially for the heavier sweet liquids. I think it will be necessary for a really good cleaning. Don't want gunk to buildup on the coils.

Sitting down, facing forward.
I wouldn't use vinegar on a T3 to clean it. Vodka, if vaped, will basically be tasteless with some throat hit. Vinegar, if vaped, will have a definite taste (might be YUCK!!!!) and probably very serious throat hit. They can be cleaned effectively just by running water gently into the air tube. Don't get too aggressive because there is a wick that lays, basically loose, on top of the coil trapped by the wick holes. A syringe with a long tip, maybe a 16 or 14 gage tip, can be used to get the water to flush through by putting the tip down into the air tube, but again, be careful not to use to strong a stream to avoid damaging the wicks.

The air tube can be removed simply by rocking it gently while pulling. This will expose the whole wick/coil assembly. Again, be carefully with the loose wick not to lose it and maybe have a pair of tweezers handy to lift it off so get at the coil. Use the tweezers to place that loose wick back and center it carefully so the ends match the fixed wicks then just press the air tube back onto the base. This may sound complicated and a bit of a pain, but it isn't and only takes a minute to do. You can also use a Q-tip to clean the coil off, or, if you're adventurous, use a dental pick to take off any built up gunk that might be on the coil.

If you do take the air tube off they clean up like new, literally, at least in my experience. I don't use "sweet" flavors but a couple do include caramel which has sugar and can darken. Even with those flavors the wicks came really clean with just a simple water wash.

As far as letting the dry, it's really not necessary. I just wash them, blow the water out of the tank with canned air, fill them up and go. The first few drags are "dry" as the water boils off the wicks, kind of like a semi-dry burn, then they work like a champ. Alternately, if they're refilled and left alone for a while, as in overnight, they'll start producing vapor on the first drag after cleaning.

Just my opinion. Worth what you're paying for it. Your mileage may vary. No warranty or guarantee is expressed or implied.

In my limited experience, I have found that the coil assembly is usually the most delicate part of a clearo. Given how sturdy the T3 looks, I want to baby it to make it last as long as possible. So I play it safe. When there is very little liquid left, I rinse out, dismantle, and soak and clean the col. I haven't seen enough gunk build up to even think about dry burning yet.

Only time will tell, but so far, the T3 appears to be quality made, and should have a long life. [and replacement coils don't hurt.]

EDIT: I forgot to mention... I have a bunch of sample bottles I am going through still. By rinsing out my T3's after every fill, it also makes it easier to rotate flavors.

T3 perk.. I left one of mine *airy* and this lets me vape flavors that I'm not particularly wild about without making a face each draw - I'm horrible about wasting anything

ETA - I wish these things came with choices in mouth piece colors - like 10 of them

DOH!!! I never thought of that. I have 3 bottles of juice I can't stand, about 25 ml. I can't let it go to waste. And I agree on the mouth piece colors as well.

The biggest problem I’m having with T3s is that after I’ve used a coil for a couple of weeks, it starts turning my juice really dark. No amount of rinsing or dry burning helps much. I have three coils that still vape just fine, but I don’t use anymore because the last ½ ml has turned real dark and tastes bad. I’m going to get some vodka to see if that will resurrect my “dead” coils.
