yes i gotta screwdriver Kit . I was pondering over it for a little while but glad i made the decision to go with Trogs bit of kit. It's my main workhorse now.

I am currently in the throws of making an adaptor to allow the use of a generic classic atomizer. Nothing as fancy as the one Ned has but it'll do the job fine. and the parts required to make it Will be available to anyone with a pen battery and 901 atomizer.

edit : nice to see you two back posting again btw

Got my screwdriver for about a week and it ROCKS ! Definitely themost reliable e-smoking device I-ve used so far. I had previously stocked 901 cigarettes... batteries are never enough, though the atomizer is great... plugged in chargers all the time ... those batteries gone in the drawer now ... Great work Trog, especially for heavy addicts like me ...

Does anyone know how i could remove the matt white paint off the other atomizers for consistency with the screwdriver ?

CR123A batteries from DE for about a pound each ... a decent trusty two-channel quick charger ... always a couple of ready-to use batteries that last a almost a whole day each ...

After bad experience with a couple of e-cigs almost an year ago and having spent almost the same amount on them as I did for the screwdriver, I had given up completely and gone back to analogue cigs simply coz they are always reliable .

I hope now the manual switch is durable enough hehe :)

I had to do a number of these (ten) after realizing I would probably get into more trouble smoking the white atomizers.

I ripped out the battery internals out of a new in box 901 battery, put a bit of padding inside it and jammed it onto a drill bit to make a poor man's lathe. The white paint came off very easily with some wetted steel wool.

I started by doing one of them by hand with a fine file, but it didn't get all the paint off and looked very scruffed up. And it was a lot more work.

fast spin speed... course 80 grit.. wrap it round and move back and forth.. finish off with some finer 300 grit.. like bertrand does it a drill in a dead battery if u have one.... dont apply sideways pressure.. grip from both sides and move back and forth..

we have now sourced some shiny ones from scratch.. so wont have to do it any more..

trog

ps.. or just do it in two halves and stick one in the drill..

Thank you for the advise.
And once again, although it's not a cheap gadget, I'm happy for every single penny I've spent for it so far ... two weeks now.
All those who've tried any cigarette replacement know that it's most important to find a reliable one... as close to the original experience as possible. I am myself even a bit overcconcious about it , carrying 2-3 charged batteries , abottle of liquid and 2-3 cartriges + a couple of minies all the time with me ... But find out that I don't need most of that stuff as I dont use the minies at all.
Got my lifetime 25 grams supply menthol crystals ... gonna make some less strong juice for home use, as I am constantly puffing ...

Got my screwdriver 60 hours ago and been using it since. Really seems to have taken my little 901 atomizer to a new level. Went from 25-30 a day smoker down to 5-6 a day when I got my 901. Only had 5 since I got my SD and to be honest my kools now taste like an ash tray after smoking my Cash chocolate menthol mix in my screwdriver. Just doesnt seem to be worth it to smoke em. So far lovin my ScrewDriver:thumb:

I can't take it anymore, I have yet to get my SD working right. It works great for 1 cartridge, then does not vape/taste good after. I shipped it back to trog, hopefully he can get me one that works right. I need a heavy duty device or 10.
if it works great for 1 cartridge it should work great indefinetly, it's just a 901 with a longer lasting beefier battery and a manual switch, if it works ...well it works. have you returned it yet ? if not try another atomizer , maybe you got a dodgy one.
be interested to find out what the problem is :(

Looks impressive, but as others have said -- 100 GBP is a bit out of the range I hope to pay. (Though I just checked the USD/GBP exchange rate for the first time in awhile -- quite favorable lately for us over here.)
Ok I was thinking the same. I also needed to replace 3 901 batteries. That would have been over £30 with shipping. The convienience of not carrying 4 batteries and chargers, cycling the damn batteries and having to replace them a week or 2 down the line because of lousy switches helped me to decide.

To be able to carry 1 device and 1 spare charged battery and not have to worry about power for the whole day is worth it imho. It took me a good few hours of thought to work it out though!

And yes your exchange rate is rocking right now. And also, there goes my European vacation this year. 8-o
