When I was in the Army, there was a surplus crop of lima beans. The gubmint bought the surplus and needless to say, we troops ended up with lima beans at every meal. One day, the mess hall served us lima bean soup, with a side order of lima beans. LOL

When I was sent overseas (Korea), I ate at either the PX (post exchange) or the NCO (non-commisioned officers) club. I like lima beans, but I was sick of them.
