Nah, you're not a "fanboy"... and I do actually actually understand the appeal of Provaris, I also like to consider quality in my purchases, but I have to consider quality at a much lower dollar figure. :) Which is why I mentioned the Sigeleis -- for those on a tight budget like mine, they seem to provide *excellent* quality.

I like the looks of the istick, but I'm hearing that they tend to vape much hotter than their setting should indicate, and that's really not for me, since I vape very much at the low end -- usually about 8 or 9 watts; my Vamo with cartotank, I often set to 10w, but the Vamo seems to vape much *lower* than the setting should indicate.

I don't "hate" on any hardware, unless it's those RDAs with the wide-open airflow, since I NEVER "lung hit" -- for mouth hitters, those things are just horrible, like trying to "smoke a straw."

I'm trying to keep my shinyitis in check these days, since I'm trying to learn how to create ALL my own e-juice -- once I don't have to spend craploads of money on pre-made juice, I'll have more discretionary funds for hardware. :) Then the shinyitis can come out to play! :D

Yup ... 3 weeks on the blu kit and I knew I was going to quit smoking.

An eVic was the device that let me stop smokes for good ... the Provaris and Kayfuns?

I just kept buying those for swapping flavours and backups ... I doubt I will ever sub ohm (got one of those 50w box mods just sitting ... impulse buy).

I still have that old blu kit with some brand new "Original Tobacco" carts.

I've shared it on loan twice ... converted both smokers to vaping.

The blu route works :)

All that Blu's did for me was gross me out, and send me to the internet to try and find something that actually tasted like cigarettes instead of pipe tobacco -- to me *most* cigarettes were too sweet, I smoked VA slims for 30+ yrs because they weren't sweet at all, and Blu, to me, tasted like something from a very sweet pipe.

What served the "proof of concept" purpose for me was the eRoll -- still a cigalike, still with a cigalike's drawbacks, but I could use a flavor I actually liked, to see that yes, I could quit smoking with these things, but I HAD to find something with more capacity both in juice and battery life.

A lot of it seems to be just in the brand of flavors you get -- and it varies a lot from flavor to flavor, which brand is better, and I guess that's because taste is SO subjective, not everyone is going to like a certain taste, no matter how many others just love it. I'm spending a lot of time reading in the DIY forum, in the individual threads for different brands; it's a TON of reading, but I'm just trying to soak up knowledge, get a feel for it all. Slow but steady!

I've been doing a bit of DIY almost since I first started, mixing pre-made juices, but I'm tired of having to pay the pre-made prices, so I'm getting more serious about mixing my own from scratch. I can cook that way, but I sure didn't learn it in a few minutes, and it appears that *good* DIY ejuice also has a learning curve. I did finally create a Virginia ejuice that's actually pretty dang good, which surprised me, since most of the DIYers say that tobacco flavors are the hardest. Unfortunately, just about the time I managed that, I stopped being so wild for Virginia or any other tobacco flavors. Now I'm onto baked goods -- blueberry muffins are my weakness! Sweet-vapes' prices are excellent, but it's still an order of magnitude more expensive than DIY, so I'm trying to create my own blueberry muffin juice. It may take a while, but I think I'll get there. :)
