ha, I working in the shop bro, working on a few stab woods and fine-tuning my processes with the ultem, came up with a way to make the inside as smooth as the outside

as I've said before, dna60's will only be in my micro mods , once you're up to the size of an 18650 mod there is no real advantage to a dna60 over a dna75. also evolv is still saying that dna60's will not really be widely available till at least October and personally I think even that is pretty optimistic at this point

I just got a call from evolv and spoke to someone about this again today, honestly I'd say don't expect to be able to really buy dna60 mods till closer to the holidays. evolv is hustling to get a few rapid prototype boards into the hands of some mod builders to beat the FDA deadline, but production itself has not even really begun yet.

the dna75 is the same exact current generation technology as the dna60, the only advantage to the dna60 is the smaller footprint which is not much of an advantage in an 18650 sized mod

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this or even caught it, but the DNA 60 specs say that it puts out 9V!!! That means high ohm builds without the "Ohms too high" error!

hmm, I should have one in my hands today... I did miss seeing that and that would be cool, but honestly I don't see a limitation like that not being something that couldn't simply be built around. def cool but not a serious limitation I think

I don't see it as a limitation at all combined with the input of 3V.

The output voltage of the 60 allows for approximately a 3 ohm coil at roughly 25 watts while the output of the 75 will only push 25 watts to a 1.5 ohm cool max.

ok, here is the 60 next to the 40, 60's are on the bottom. the 40's were the only dna chips that had mounting rails (seen removed and to the left of the 40 chips) but when removed the 40 & 60 are the exact same footprint

and for anyone interested here is what the dna250 looks like compared to the 200, the 250's are on the bottom. same board as the 200, these rapid prototypes were even built by populating the same dna200 circuit board. a few different components are the main difference here, the prototypes aren't even conformal coated, which is why the dna200's looking glossy compared to the 200's but production 250's will be coated. same goes for the 60's

again lead time on the 250's will probably be sometime in or after october... the main difference between the 200 & 250 is of course 50 watts more and also the 250 has 2 amp charging on board, but can be limited to the same 1a to avoid excessive heat buildup that occurs at 2a... not too much reason to crave a 250 over a 200 less you're maxing out at 200 watts and want more
