Mine came in yesterday. It's a very nice upgrade from the v2. I didn't think I'd care for the black delrin drip tip top thing but, other than being hideous, I like it enough that it's all I've been using. Well done again, UD.

Still evaluating if i like it. So far it vapes nice. Got it in single coil mode with a .43 27g paralell coil. Nice warmth, so far no dry hits. And best of all its not the mist fest like the mini v2

So, no one has the extension yet? I'd like to see a pic if anyone has one.

I do, its interesting functionally. I will get a pic here in a few.

The interesting thing is you just remove the top cap like your going to fill it and screw the extension in then the top cap screws on the extension.

After seeing several YT videos/reviews, it seems like UD has released a GM3 with some updates that solve leaking problems.
As I have two of them, and both seem to have a non working JFC (with JFC fully closed, when I remove the top cap to refill I get bubbles and flooding if I'm not super quick), I wonder if anybody has an idea if there are some visible clues that let you distinguish the revised/upgraded/fixed version from the leaking one.
I love this tank and I'm thinking about taking another one, but I want to be 100% sure it'll be the non-leaking one...
Even better, has anybody found a way to "fix" the bogus JFC?

The small leaking I had, was solved on my 2nd build by pushing my coil up slightly, and making sure there was a bit of space between the rayon wick and the sides of the airflow slots. I believe my rayon was touching the edges on both sides of the airflow slots and since rayon feeds so well, I guess the juice flowed that path down. My JFC however seems to be working as designed. Bought mine when first released at a US vendor.

Does my suggestion (in ealier post of this thread) on replacing the out of the box base o-ring with the smaller one from the spare o-ring solve your leaking problem?

I got a feeling we are in the same case and ever since I replace that base o-ring, I have no leaking absolutely, not even a single drop of juice. In my case, it is not the JFC problem, it is the size of the base o-ring!

Yeah, I tried that and replaced the base oring, but it's still a bubble fest when I open the top to refill, with JFC fully closed! Smtg is definitively not lining up...

I'm not sure if I like the drip tips that came with the goblin. They seem kind of short and small to me compared to what I'm used to. I'm wondering if others are using the stock tips or something else. Also, for those that are using the extensions, does adding the extension affect the flavor?

I've got 2 Goblin Mini V3s on the way, SS and black, both with extension tubes (and even spare glass!) - from Origin Vape. I've never heard of Origin Vape before, but they had everything I wanted at a decent price, so I went with them. Otherwise I would've ordered from Sweet-Vapes and FT to get everything I wanted - at a slightly higher price, and waiting longer for delivery of the extension tubes. (Sweet-Vapes doesn't currently have the extension tubes. FT does.) I could've just ordered everything from FT, but the savings wouldn't have been all that much - and the delivery wait time would've been much longer.

It's been a long time since I built and wicked my own coils. I did it for awhile with a Kayfun a few years ago. Getting the wick right was a bit of a pain. I found the whole process (including airflow adjustment, refilling, etc.) to be just too cumbersome at the time. Eventually I settled on using the Nautilus Mini, then clones of the Kabuki tank, using Nautilus coils. But Nautilus coils just haven't been very good for a long time now, and I'm tired of the crappy selection of MTL tanks out there that use factory coils. None of them seem to handle high VG juices well at all. Though it supposedly does, I haven't even bothered trying the Nautilus X. I guess I'm just done playing with Aspire any longer. I tried the T22, but that was a disappointment.

I'm interested in high ohm, single coil, MTL builds any of you have had success with using the Goblin Mini V3. I'm mainly interested in using rayon wick, which I have a ton of - though the last time I built my own coils I used cotton. On my old Kayfun I built 1.6 through 1.8 ohm micro coils. This worked pretty well for mouth-to-lung vaping, though getting the cotton to wick high VG juice well was always a hit or miss proposition. When it worked well it was a fabulous vape, but even then I tended to re-wick frequently. I'm curious about using double twisted kanthal (or other options to get similar result?), as well as possibly 316L SS wire (possibly for TC builds, but not necessarily). What gauges should I consider? How many wraps? For the most part I would prefer to keep things fairly simple. I'm mainly interested in a relatively cool, flavorful vape, with reasonable (not outlandish) vapor production. Vapor density being more the desired result, as opposed to high volume - using a fairly restricted (but not tight) draw.

Yeah, I know, that's a lot to ask for in advice, but I figured this thread would be a good place to ask. I'm looking around elsewhere for good build info as well, but build info on the V3's deck is still a little sparse - especially for MTL builds.

I'm no expert but I'd think that if you want high ohm builds then you're probably going to want to go with a 28 gauge wire. I did a tight wrap 26 gauge 316 coil last night at 8 wraps and came out at .5 ohms with a 3mm diameter on the goblin. I have only used Clapton wire once but it seemed to really improve the flavor on my merlin which already had good flavor with a regular coil. I'm sure someone else can give more advice on the double twisted. I used to build high ohm coils on the kayfun too but once I started using tanks like the goblin I don't usually build over .5-.6 ohms. I'm not sure if the goblin would be a good mtl tank or not. The Merlin has an airflow restrictor that makes it better for MTL setup.
