It will not. To start with, plain packaging won't deter under-age vaping. Let's get real here, the "children" don't buy vape-stuff based on fanciful packaging or branding. Look at the product the ANTZ currently rant about the most in the US, the juul. It comes in some of the most plain packaging of any vape product.
Bans don't work. See Prohibition or the War on (some) Drugs. A ban will just create an informal (underground/black) market, and all the problems associated with such a market.
Should maybe clarify I don't want cigarettes banned - I just use that argument to face off people who say they want vaping banned, or treated more severely than smoking is.
And I refer to plain packaging vape products because that's how cigarettes are sold in my country. It's not something I think is particularly effective but that's the way it is.
So I think yeah, fine, if the government regulate vaping in exactly the same way smoking is will keep the public guardians happy it's fine by me. They can't use that position against vaping then.
