No need to apologize for the graphics, I was quite entertained. As if I didn't know that these things could happen from smoking and if I saw it, well surely I would quit, LOL! I kept that pack for years until it got lost in a move.

US smokes too strong?!?!?

I found the Canadian ones way harsher, it was like smoking uncured tobacco. I think US smokes are way smoother and more flavorful, ... Or rather, i did.

I wasn't apologizing about the graphics to you, but those who will read my post and can't handle it (you proved yourself able to by even mentioning how our packs look like.)

I found mostly that Canadian smokes seem dryer than American brands, making them harsher on the throat. On the other hand, fresher tobacco seems stronger in taste. I bet it has something to do with all this distance we have to ship stuff to

We do not generally discuss why one likes a specific brand better, but I have had plenty of people ask me "how the hell can you smoke this?" while I found regular Marlboro's way too strong and had to go for the Marlboro light. Not sure I'm a reference on vaping either as I often have to discard coils due to "unrinsable" flavors...

Please do take a picture. touch screen and still not taking bills?? We have it the other way over here with vending machines...

Caffeine headache = some level of addiction. Some only have headaches, some have the shakes (more advanced cases, usually). You can't not have some level of addiction to caffeine if you drink 3-4 espressos a day, ask my ex-boss. I even knew a guy who had withdrawal shakes and he usually just had 3-4 coffees before noon. Then he had to get 1-2 after lunch and that was the descent. He found tea to be very helpful in cutting down, though. Most teas actually contain more caffeine than coffee, but are less addictive.. I bet there is some scam there as well as in BT industry. After all... that stuff goes by plane rather than boat!

There are coffee and espresso flavor e-juices out there, though. I don't drink coffee (had enough addiction with nicotine), but the caffeine content is not there... could become a reality when people realize what's going on with coffee, however! I have predicted that once cigarettes become completely illegal, next will be coffee. At this rate, I might not be here to find out, though...

I'd have to differ on that statement about tea -- it does not have more caffeine than either coke or brewed coffee; it has about 2/3 the caffeine of instant coffee. Until I started getting the puffy ankles, I was putting down 8-10 cups a day of strong black tea -- but give me one large Coke or Dr Pepper or cup of real brewed coffee, and I'm bouncing off the furniture I'm so hyper. The real brewed coffee actually makes me quite nauseous. Very much as too-high nicotine does.

Not sure about the caffeine in tea stuff but our espressos are hardly comparable to those coffee I have tried (Starbucks) or similar. Heck, we call "dirty water" most foreign coffees and even at home you can't replicate exactly the power of a coffee shop espresso (unless you own a 3kw machine).

Here they use 15gr of pure coffee for 30ml of beverage so you can guess the amount of caffeine inside. After living in Germany for 10 years I still remember my first Portuguese expresso... Didn't sleep that night lol... Now I can drink one and go to bed no problem lol

Back to topic :

For those that rolled their tobacco, no more paper chasing on a windy day and no more loosing lighters every other day :)

Finding an awesome new cleaner that is really cheap.

I received a shelf (cheap pressboard) from the neighbors. They smoke (a lot). The shelf is an offwhite color but when I first got it, it was black with smoker's residue. Luckily we were doing some cleaning around the house and bought extra supplies at a Dollar General. Well one of the things we got was a bottle of Mean Green. A Spray on the side of the shelf saw a brown/black stream of icky tar gunk flowing down the side. I had an Ice bucket of warm water to rinse my rag as I went. I had to empty and refill that bucket five or six times for that tiny shelf!!! Mean Green really does a fantastic job of cleaning that stuff up!

My late father's common-law-wife was from Germany, so as a european she was quite fond of espresso; she served it to us once after dinner, and I asked if I could have a larger cup; she asked why -- I said "so I can put the same amount of milk as coffee, plus sugar, because this isn't drinkable!" Nasty stuff. I find regular coffee bitter unless diluted with about 1/3 milk, plus sugar, but espresso could be used as paint thinner, I think. Or maybe as an emetic if there's no ipecac handy.

But I loves me some black tea. :D With sugar, of course.

Well imagine what we drink here to call German coffee dirty water.. Way too weak :)

A good espresso has to have a brown thick top of cream on it (not to be confused with whipped cream or milk. I mean the natural cream that emerges when you force boiling water at 4 bar pressure through 15gr of pure coffee) :)

Don't get insulted but the coffee in USA is horrible, even the espresso in USA is bad.
If it's the wrong kind of coffee, and the grinding is wrong, passing it through an espresso machine doesn't make it good.
But i guess that if you're used to drinking horrible coffee, drinking something slightly less horrible is considered good, while drinking really good coffee doesn't sit well with you, since it's too different then what you're used to.
What's strange is that you have many Italians in USA, couldn't you learn from them?

You were not lucky with American espresso. It can be pretty good, you just have to know places. Actually Italian espresso is rather bad for me – they put a lot of sugar and other disgusting white stuff in it, so the real taste of coffee is of little importance for them. Coffee should be drunk straight, anything else is not a coffee but coffee-containing beverage. Unfortunately home-made espresso is not exiting at all, so for home brew the best coffee is Turkish or from French press. I know, I tasted.

Well probably, but it varies regionally in the US too. Coffee throughout the midwest east to Ohio is some hot water with coffee scented oil and coloring added, but I have found throughout Pgh. to the east coast to be quite flavorful. (still probably tastes bad to you tho)

    BACK ON TOPIC'

I can't believe I didn't say this before, but one of the best things about vaping over smoking is simply :THE NOVELTY

When I smoked, I always bought the same brand, which was the same flavor, and consumed it in the same form (cigarette) ... BORING

Now, I change up the brands of my tanks, Mods, and ejuice, change up the flavors of the juice, and consume the vapor in different ways, dripping, tanks, spilling it on myself (WARNING: Spilling juice on oneself is NOT recommended and was not intentional any of the 14 times done by the OP)

Espresso is drank straight after being made, straight up no milk no sugar no nothing.
Home espresso machines are not good enough since they are not able to produce enough pressure.

Generally speaking there are 3 kinds of grinds, fine grind for turkish coffee, medium grind for espresso and rough grind for peculator machines, if you use rough grind in an espresso machine you get a weak brownish coffee since the pressure escapes without pulling the coffee elements from the grind, and thats usually what i got there.

Believe me i tried many none were any good, and many foreigners say the same.
I suppose that as a local which knows the right places you can eventually find some good ones.
What people get relays directly to what people know and want, so if most americans want something that is considered good for them but bad for others thats what they're going to get.

Exactly. I find espresso far too bitter, I even find Folgers too bitter -- I prefer a smoother taste, and it's pretty hard to find, which is just one of the reasons a) I like a lot of milk in it, and b) I eventually gave up on coffee. Also the fact that I was drinking 10 cups a day of the stuff at one point -- WHAT?! (twitch) ME?! (jump) NERVOUS?!? Which is why I disagree about tea containing more caffeine -- 10 cups a day of tea never did that to me.

I thought of another good thing about vaping vs. smoking -- I can wear white! When I smoked, if I wore white, it always ended up with ash-marks, but now I can wear white anything -- no ashes!

Which is somewhat beside the point, now that it's fall, but back in the summer this occurred to me, when I got some white leggings for my birthday. :)

My mom used to drink 10+ cups of coffee a day too, she eventually cut back since the doctor told her it's not good for her blood pressure.

Just so you'd know, black tea has quite a lot of confine in it too.

Oh i'm sorry for turning a nice thread with a nice subject, into a discussion about coffee and tea:)

I use to have to go outside to smoke at work and hear the complaints of "you smell like a cig". Now I can sit back at work and vape inside and all I hear is "hey that smells good and your making me hungry" lol

I get, "It smells like a bakery in here" from my coworkers. The bosses haven't seemed to notice much, but they rarely, if ever, venture to this end of the hallway :)

There is nothing like sitting down on the toilet, in a public restroom, and having a hefty vape session while taking care of one's business. So satisfying. Can't do that with cigarettes.

I *LOVE* a good "voop"

Not stopping at the gas station, or convenience store daily is saving me time and gas! Plus, i would usually grab some gum to hide my smokers breath or some beef jerky. Im probably saving just as much from not impulse spending at the store.

I pretty much only go in when I need some coffee or pop (soda/soft drink, etc.) I do scan the smoke prices of my former brand. It looks as if they actually have gone down (or stayed down) somewhat.

Never fear, DIY is here. I've managed to lose 10 lbs since I started vaping - I don't have the urge to snack (I have a voracious sweet tooth), and my amazing dessert and vanillas with fruit more than compensate for a candy bar or a slice of cake!

For me, it's wearing black. I would always end up with cigarette dandruff from flicking out the window.
