I've recently been running on standard ego t batteries with mini novas, but feel I deserve a little treat for making it over two months without having a smoke. Initially I was going to get a couple of ego twist 650s to complement my set up, but have recently been interested in the lavatube v4 18350, which is a little bit more on the wallet. Has anyone had both and can share their experiences and compare and contrast the two? Or any general input on the pros/cons of either? And no, I don't have the budget for a provari!

I haven't tried either... Congrats on over 2 months, though! I've been looking at the VV KGO, myself. I can afford the Provari, but I'm still $200 in the hole, and saving has become a matter of principle, for some weird reason. :)
My initial thought is to get the bigger one, since I can't imagine that 650mah can't last long at variable voltage (hence the fact that I've only looked at the KGO VV as opposed to buying it), but I'll step aside to let more knowledgeable people put in their 2 cents. :)

Congrats on your success. This one may be different but I have one. You can get different magnet adapters that will allow you to use almost anything on it. I've actually used a carto/tank on mine. I've been happy and have no complaints. You might like to check out some of the reviews by pbusardo and a few others for their opinion.

This is only one vendor, there are many more so you can compare price.

If you are going to opt for the Stainless LT, I have the original 18350 from Apollo. It is stellar IMO. I had a 1000mah twist. Notice I said, "HAD". The 1000mah is much longer than anything I've ever used. I don't really do eGos anymore. If you are already an eGo user, then get yourself a LavaTube. There is one thing that I want to point out. If the version you get has the spring loaded center pin, do yourself a favor and get this.

eGo Chrome Cone for the 3.5 mL Dual Coil Tank Cartromizer

You don't have to get it from MadVapes, but there are plenty of vendors that carry them. Watch this video to find out why.

Stainless Steel V-Tube (Lavatube) from Apollo - YouTube

Basically if you want to use a tank that has a flat bottom, it will screw all the way down and close off your air flow. This little "eGo ring" screws right into the drip well of the LT and fixes the issue. But, again, this is only if your center pin is retractable

As you already stated yourself you can get the lt for close to the same price as the twists, to me the difference comes into play when you have to start replacing things. The twists will last you between 6 month to a year on avg, tho there has been a few that have had them break within 3 months, when they stop you have to buy the whole unit again, the lt on the other hand you just buy new batteries. Tho I am not sure I would go with the 18350, the 18650 really isn't that big, and will last 2 to 3 times as long on a charged battery.

If you are a real chain vaper - the twists may not be able to keep up with you. Forget the 100 mah equals 1 hr. That would be one hour if you only puff here and there. If you chain vape, 100 mah lasts 15 minutes. A 650 will last about an hour to an hour and a half. And, they seem to take a long time to charge up.

Once you go to a vv, you really won't ever want to use your regular egos unless you have to. VV is fabulous.

So, if I were you, I'd budget for an LT or better and a twist or two for backups.
