If I shake my Stout hard I can hear the + and - buttons rattle as well, until someone pointed that out though I never noticed it. Do I wish they did not rattle, sure, do I shake my mods hard on a regular basis, no. My RX200 and Encom TNT80 also have rattles if I shake them, the only mod I have that doesn't is my IPV5.

I guess it's only a problem if your OCD, luckily I don't have that problem. In normal use the +/- rattle doesn't bug me, my solution was to not shake my Stout hard enough to hear them rattle.
Lol, I never got that. Every YouTube reviewer starts his video off by shaking the mod. I've never sat there and shook my mod to see if the button rattles. Who gives a ....?

For the price of the Stout I can see why some people might be a little miffed, the build quality, screen and buttons on my $50 IPV5 are better than my $70 Stout. I still love my Stout though and it goes on the road with me all the time, the IPV5 is more of a home mod for me.

If I could swap out the buttons and screen from my IPV5 and put it on the Stout then it would be just about perfect. I am not sorry in anyway for buying the Stout though, it's not a perfect mod but it's still great. I have yet to find a perfect mod, they don't exist.

Where did you find the stout for 70 dollars? I paid 90 from VF.

That's good shizz. Why in the hell would you shake a mod? I am OCD and I didn't think of pressure testing a mod by "shaking it hard".

I would be willing to bet that it's not part of the design or testing process. :D

Mine has been fine also. A real Trooper really. Plenty of power to last throughout the day. Consistent Vape all one could ask for

Theses guys have the best prices on VF products. They're also a pleasure to deal with.

Thanks for the site info. My start was a rocky one with the Stout. Had to return it 2x. The third has been fine. Just simple, easy dependable device this gives me a good vape in temp mode and good battery life.
I can't say enough good things about the folks @ VF. No hassles when I had issues and the fact that you can actually pick up the phone and speak to someone is fantastic.
Everyone raves about the CS @ Provape, IMHO VF has them beat and that's not easy.

Right behind you...
Nice alternative to the Stout from Wismec/Beyond Vape, the Beyond Vape Centurion.

centurion_02.jpg

A bit more stylish than the Stout, uses the same board, with the more attractive font from the RX200, and even includes the same 18650 adapter sleeve as the Stout. I also think that the battery cap design on the Centurion likely means less issues with battery length. Bonus, it'll handle atomizers larger than 22mm while still having about the same narrow feel in the hand as the Stout. Not sure on pricing.

Yea I am keeping my eye on this one, as I ended up getting 4 26650's batteries when getting my stout, on the lookout for another 26650 mod, especially as really like the stout, was thinking of getting the flawless 26650 mod, but think I will wait for this one instead :)

Anybody know what pricing looks like on this mod? This just may be my next tc mod. I've been wanting to add a 26650 mod to my arsenal and this looks like the one.

I have my eye out for a 26650 mod to... this and the Sigelei 90w Plus has my interest to... no TCR/SS support but I have all but given up on TC! ultimately I would like a Boxer 26650 but, that's to rich for my blood! decisions, decisions ;)

I looked at the Sig too, but no upgrade and I already own a Sig 75 watt mod and it eats through batteries fast, so decided no to it. Boxer is really good looking mod, but same as you, to much money for my wallet.

Not being upgradeable is an absolute deal breaker for me.

I picked up the Sigelei 90W Plus about two months ago and use it pretty religiously with a Crown Ni .15 and have get results. Battery life is as good as the Stout or the TNT80. It was $70 at SV for the kit but I'm not sure what I did with the tank. I've been real happy with the performance.

Like any other 26650 vaping it at low ohms high wattage will cause you to burn through batteries pretty quick. At 30W this runs a little over a day on a single cell.

Just got my black Stentorian Steam Engine tank in the mail today to go with my black Stout.

I was going to sell the Black Stout but now that I have the black Steam Engine I might have to reconsider. If the finish on the Stout was the same as the Steam Engine then there is no way it would leave my possession. I think it is an anodized black finish on the Steam Engine and it's dead sexy.
