My MNKEs came from RTD and look like the left-hand picture (wide spacing, one with the white label). Battery life is ok. Between 20-25 watts, I can get a day and half on a full charge.

I notice the same thing about the battery bar hitting 1/4 left. 25% seems closer to 10%. 50% seems closer 33%. 75% seems closer to 85%. It's like a gas gauge. It stays full for a long time but once you burn through half a tank, the rest goes quickly. Not sure if that's the wismec chip or the battery causing it.

I can't fire above 60 watts without hitting "weak battery" though. Both batteries perform exactly the same.

I just put a Ni200 build on the Stout and it shows Weak Battery above 60 watts as well. MNKE came out and tube and HG2 went in.

Second Stout hit the door, beautiful device and will not fire or turn on with a 26650 in it. Tried the MNKE's, the Sigelei and a buddies MXJO's... no dice.

I dropped the sleeve in with an 18650 and it fires right up. I think the positive battery pin may have an issue, the 26650 fit tighter then the 18650.

Bad streak lately :(

Contacted VF but it is a damn fine looking device.

So I called VF this morning and talked to Matthew and Ryan. Matt resolved the Stout issue immediately and the three of us just BS'd about the product for a while.

Both great guys, helpful and real friendly.

Anyway by the time I got off the phone I had my shipping label and RMA. I still believe this group is awesome. When I had problems with my Evolv chip on my Flask they kicked azz and they are still kickin.

Glad to know they are responsive! Did you by chance ask them about the dim display and if a different firmware upgrade may solve that? Just nitpicking and curious. I guess I should just get off my .... and contact them myself-LOL.

Talked to Randy (RTD) on FB today about the MNKE's. Already received RMA and the batts are packed up and ready for the mailman. Full refund. Randy said he is looking for good 26650's.

As always with RTD, safety and customer service are paramount.

So I bought the Brillipower that is pictured with the Stout on the VF site and I'm having a hard time getting it to charge to 100%. It gets to 4.03v and then the battery indicator just blinks. Any idea if a battery can lose capacity? I've only been using it for a couple of weeks. This 26650 thing is becoming more hassle than it's worth.

I picked up some MXJO's and the Orbtronic 5200mAh to try.

I bet the Orbtronic will be a winner. Just gotta check the length of it. Orbtronic 18650's are a tiny bit longer than most other brands. Not sure if that's the same for the 26650 size.
