Hmm. I got mine on release, too. I'm going to call them on Monday. Its bothering me. It hasn't done it at all today, but it was at its worst last night. It did it the first day, and has done it quite a few times since.
Please let us know what they say. Did it happen in wattage mode , or temp limiting ?

I've only used it in wattage mod so far. I have a kanthal Clapton in a Serpent on it.

The first couple days I thought maybe the switch was very picky and maybe I wasn't hitting it dead on, but its not me. Its the mod. Its very random, too. Some days it doesn't happen at all. Usually it happens once or twice. And Friday night it happened a lot. None of my other mods have done this except two Sig 75Ws I bought on Black Friday. They had other issues as well, and I returned them. Some of my mods are pretty old now and don't do this. So it bothers me a $90 mod does this, and if there's a bad solder joint the thing could go up in flames or something so I don't want to hang onto it. Hopefully they will exchange it.

My biggest gripe is probably not a large scale one because I constantly lock my device while working. I keep my stout in my breast pocket and don't want it mis-firing. So, it takes 5 rapid clicks to unlock it and then a pause and then a 6th click to fire it. I hate this pause. I just want to click it 5 times and then fire it like my DNA 40 Flask does. Plus, the speed of the clicks to unlock it is just to fast. I am constantly trying to unlock it over and over again when I'm working. Just a pain in the .... that I have not gotten used to yet. Might cause me to sell it and grab another dna40 device.

I'm thinking the same thing about not hitting it dead on but I've been really paying attention to it. It just happened now as I'm reading your post. Hit the button nothing. Released and hit it again and it fired.
I doubt I'll do another return just turn it into a paper weight. I guess 90 dollars just doesn't buy you much when it comes to mods.
This is the first popular priced mod from China i purchased in a long time.
I've read about so many people that love these lower priced mods I thought that China upped the game.
Please post after you speak with VF.

Almost all of my mods are Chinese, and I have a slew of them. This is the only one that is doing this. I could've bought two rx200s for the price of this one, so its not acceptable. I will let you know what they say.

Not passing Judgement on this Mod.

But it does seem like there has been Quite a Few Issues with it as compared to the Number of people who have Bought it.
Yeah this company really needs to get their act together. Releasing a mod like this without a list of recommended batteries is foolish. Seems like a lot of people are having multiple issues. You know a company is not to bright when they pick the day after Christmas as their release date. Also, their pricing is a bit high compared to the rest of the market especially on the SX Flask. For less than half the price I can get a Cuboid which has the same chip as the classic. Smh.

Right behind you...
First production run issues, mostly, and in comparison to some other mods the problem is minor (though still not a good thing if you're the owner, everything is relative).

The far more expensive DNA200 devices experienced a lot more issues in the first several months (though once again, if you own a Stout that's having problems, you probably don't give a damn what the failure rate of a DNA200 is).

As for the release day, they had to wait until late December to get stock from Joyetech...so it was release on Christmas eve and get a little free holiday PR, or wait until 2016. And one of the reasons you're paying more for the VF products is that the warranty and support issues are handled in the US, and they have a far more liberal warranty policy than Joyetech does on top of that. And lets compare apples to apples on pricing, please...deep discounts from Chinese vendors on the Cuboid don't reflect the actual MSRP of the device. Walk into a local vape shop, and the Cuboid is a lot more expensive...but the VF/Wismec line is the same price seen on the web.

If we're comparing apples to apples why would you bring up the B&M price of a Cuboid? No matter which way you spin it, its still the same chip in a different housing. I am also not talking about China pricing with the Cuboid. I ordered one from NY for 38.99 with a Crown tank and 2 lg he batteries my total was $10 less that the price of a Stout, $39 less than the price of a Classic. That's with a tank and fresh set of batteries.

Like I said, I'm not trying to Slam this Mod. But when I look at something like Batteries that Don't Fit, I ask myself Why? Isn't there a Design that can be used to achieve the Same goal that allows for a +/- 1mm variance of Battery Length?

As to the Release Date. I am Very Confident that if there was Any Way to bring this Mod to market before Christmas, then it would have.

Anyone who has any Experience in Manufacturing knows that there is One Constant. And that is Delays. There is Always some Sub-Contractor who doesn't make there Deadline. Or a Batch of O-Rings that are "Out of Print". Or a OP Plating House that screws up a Run of Surface Finish. And on a New Product, you can about Double the Problems.

All the mods I use daily are made in China as well. I have a bunch Sxmini S, M , and ML. I guess my point is that I didn't have a good experience with the popular priced China mods and I'm still having the same experience with this mod.
I wasn't expecting all the bells and whistles that I have on my SX mods. I just want something that I could use in temp mode Kind of a set and forget user experience.
Certainly not disagreeing with you.
I guess I bought into the interview that Charlie did with P Brusardo.
I agree about buying 2 RX 200 mods. I was looking at one today in a B& M and passed because of my user experience with this one.
Actually I could have purchased another ML for what this cost with all the different I had to buy because of height limitations.
I look forward to your update after you hear from VF.
Cheers,

Other than some of the quirks of the chip, I still like the stout. The Brillipower fits good and is giving me some decent runtime. I like the heft of the device. VF service and supports definitely helps sell devices. It's one of the main reasons why I was excited to get one of the first ones.

Quick update on mine. No issues at all with my fire button and the chip is performing great. I received my mnke's from imr batteries and they are the tighter text line ones. They were packed totally differently than the first pair I received. The new ones were in a case and individually shrink wrapped. The first pair I received were in individual boxes and not wrapped. The fit on these new ones are much better too. These seem to be a bit shorter. I don't have the old ones to compare but I remember the old ones slightly stressing the closure. These don't at all. Over all I'm happy.

started one the new 3500mah MNKEs last night at around 8 p.m.

I wanted to give it some time before I reported anything. I vaped a 0.37ohm dual coil build at 45 and 50 watts last night (3hrs) before going to bed. Today I have been vaping on it since 4:30 a.m. and it is now noon in california. My battery meter is showing 3/4 charge. Not bad at all given my first set would have been dead already. I'm hoping to get the rest of today and tonight out of this one so we'll see. Looks like the MNKEs with the closer text at IMR batts may be the real deal.

I don't quite chain vape, but get pretty close sometimes in my office here (stress!!).

Oh, forgot to mention, with the new MNKE it fires at 100watts, no problem
