I'm a sub-contractor for a remote desktop support company. One of my best friends from 8th grade is my immediate boss. He's been vaping before I even wanted to try vaping. He uses a regular eGo stick (not sure what brand), but still smokes 2-4 cigarettes a day. I was smoking 15-20 cigarettes a day and had tried his ecig before, but it just didn't cut it for me. I've recently gone straight to mech mods with drippers thanks to my dad finding this forum and showing me, and I've completely quit cigarettes. 2/26/2015 was my first full day of 0 cigarettes. Anyways we work in an open office type situation with fellow techs all around me. I'm 26 and they're all around the same age so they're all for me quitting cigarettes even if it means big fruity clouds of vape. I still try to blow it under my desk or out of there way so they're not sitting in my cloud. But I'm lucky enough to have that sort of freedom. Now I don't have to leave in the middle of a conversation, or a joke, or work because I'm craving a cigarette. I can continue to work and vape and go throughout my day. It's a wonderful thing. :D

I work in a "cube farm" office type of environment. I have a Kayfun on an IPV2 and stealth it all day long at about 9-ish watts. I keep the flavors to something rather neutral and hold the vape until it is nearly sightless when exhaled. When I first reported for work I went to the smoking area which is 4 floors down and in the corner of the parking garage. I attended resident training for 5 weeks and when I came back I decided to nix the frequent departures to the smoking area and stealth it. Fortunately for me the kitchen area is right outside of my desk so there is always the smell of coffee, food, or other things to make my scent blend right in. I'd say that my productivity has increased by quite a bit as I am not wasting 15 mins per hour or so away from my desk which adds up in an 8 or 9 hour day.

I wish it was more comfortable per se for me, but stealthing it will have to do and quite honestly that is fine with me.

I work at a casino, I can't vape in the office, but our break room has a smoke-room. no issue there.

I have a second job at retail store, where I have been vaping for two years in our back room. Out of sight of customers, and nothing crazy (big clouds or smells). However, I was recently told that the District Manager said vaping "... goes against the image our company is trying to project" and I would have to go outside from now on. Luckily I only work there 3-4 times a month, but going outside in 7* weather last week ...... me off.

My office in not really tolerant but luckily the people around me are. Hit the dripper at my desk but release the vape under my desk. Just small hits as I don't want to draw attention to myself. I also go down with my neighbor when he goes down to smoke (same as when I smoked). Trying to get him to vaping and off the analogs.

This just shows the lack of any logic used by anti-vaping zealots: District manager would rather have you vaping outside, in *full view* of customers going in or out, than vaping in a back room, *away* from customers' view.

And all this because of the "company's image".

The trouble is all it takes is one person to state it bothers them and the new policy banning vaping is in place. The way things are in a "free" society.

It is a given that in the long run, everything that is non-essential to work will be banned. People love to complain, whether justified or not, either to annoy, as a retaliation, or to gain some "competitive advantage".

I don't think my work would care in certain situations, but I don't want to walk around blowing clouds. Only one other person I work with vapes and we usually end up outside with the smokers at break. Most of them give me a hard time because it seems weird to them, always saying "whats that" or "is that (OTHER STUFF) in there". I will sometimes sneak a few puffs in the bathroom or storage room though.

I'm just so fed up with society in general that I now vape freely almost anywhere I happen to be. if politely asked not to, I'll stop, but don't let some arrogant uneducated ....... complain to me. I blast them with the facts and put them in their place. Enough with .....footing around others. Time to stand up for our rights as well.

Sounds like a good way to end up unemployed...
