In my opinion:
Vapor is not smoke.
I don't think we should automatically move to the smoking section... In most cases. I think treating it like smoking in this manor further encourages those who don't know better that it is an equivalent. I do hang out with the smokers occasionally, but mostly because I've found most smokers to be good people, and it's easy conversation.
as vapers, we are (generally) not doing anything wrong. I don't think we should be stealth vaping, except in professional settings or around children - then I'll head outside or to the bathroom.
That being said, there needs to be more research before I would say its "safe." And the offensive Odor bit is a good point. I try to stick to mild or acceptable flavors when I'm out and about, like coffee or mint.
I don't "vape where ever and screw everyone else." I try to be as polite as I can without avoiding it all together. Ask before puffing and take the opportunities to educate. Everywhere except around children and in professional settings. If I'm on my time, I ask an employee and people around me if it's cool if I vape (insert flavor here), wiggling my ego in my hand. Usually the flavor interests people the most. If it's a no, or a not sure, I assure them that it's cool and pop it back in my pocket.
I could quit vaping. I've done it before. I enjoy vaping. I'm not just trying to get my nicotine fix. I usually vape 0 and 4 or 6 mg. I enjoy the act of vaping, but a little nicotine buzz is nice to have every now and then.
I think most others have hit on most of these points.
A lot of awesome people here on ECF!
