I don't vape where I don't smoke. Mostly because people don't understand what it is and think your either smoking or doing drugs. Secondly, I sub ohm on my mech and blow fat clouds. That doesn't help the first reason why I don't vape where I wouldn't smoke lol. If people have questions, I explain it to them. Not a lot of people vape around here, so my friend and I are major representatives for vaping. Especially since we do more than just disposables and egos lol

You have to love the selective application of the rules.

And he (the supervisor) will wonder why people have contempt for the rules down the road...most likely he will be blaming his subordinates.

Yeah this particular supervisor is well known to make up rules for no reason. I asked everyone there if they had any issues with me vaping in the trailer after he left and again they all said they thought the smell was pleasant. None of the other supervisors mind so I just don't do it when hes around as to not start anything. I should also mention that 90% of the people at that site smoke analogs.

I quit analogs once a long time ago and was doing pretty well. I made it four days. My boss at work thought it was HILARIOUS to light up around me (back before it was banned). Now fast forward to me back smoking because I was surrounded by it at home(first husband) and at work and I just couldn't do it. My BOSS quit and made us all go outside to smoke. Nice huh?

Sounds about right! Just the other day a supervisor at an entirely different site told me "when are you gonna stop doing that crap inside? I don't like it!". This was right after I had a 20 minute conversation with him outside next to his truck and he was standing where he was constantly breathing in diesel fumes! Some people are just uneducated as to what vaping really is and others are just jealous that I don't have to go outside to smoke any more.

Fair enough, I just based my post on what I read on a few pages of the internet :) I still don't agree with what I'm reading on this thread, not saying that anyone here is at fault or anything, but just the whole vaping like they're doing something wrong thing.

Vape on brother! I don't hold the same views as you but I am not gonna judge you either. Do you! I personally don't want to get in a situation where there is some kind of confrontation. As a CHP holder in VA I avoid confrontation cuz I really DO NOT want to have to shoot someone. You got CHP in Ireland?

Shoot someone over vaping? Why would you even think like that?

I'm with ya on that. But I was pretty much like that about smoking too. You don't like me smoking, or now vaping? OK, you're free to go somewhere that I'm not doing that -- kthxby.

See unlike some of the less committed, I smoked in my house, my car, and my office (despite the latter being illegal for the last few years). I also ignored all the "No smoking within xx feet of the entrance" signs. Screw that, outside is outside.

What are you gonna do, charge me with smoking?"

As long as you're not close to people, who cares? We are too overly sensitive these days -- I vape in the Mall, WalMart, bars, outside at work (and in stealth mode at my desk), around my family, restaurants, and the grocery store. Buuuuuuuuut ONLY when I'm away from others, not invading their personal space. If people can't smell it, taste it, or be bothered by it WHAT IS WRONG? My mom has acute allergies and high sensitivity, and when I vape 10-20 feet from her using a menthol (not berry or other stronger smelling juices) she has no issues with it.

That dude is a nut. Sick as what? Yeah... I don't care what he has to say.

If you are keeping the vapor to a minimum then I see no reason not to vape in public. Someone may be allergic to what I'm vaping? Don't care. I'm allergic to many perfumes/cologne and body sprays and have had an allergic reaction due to someone wearing too much walking by... That doesn't stop people from wearing too much and it won't stop me. I actually build special coil setups for public that keep vapor to a minimum but keep flavor and heat (also inhaling a little at at time). I do vape politely but when I'm in a vape shop, outside, somewhere where no one cares, somewhere with very few people, etc... Hehe I blow clouds! Like I've said many times before (feels like I'm beating a dead horse)... Vaping is not smoking so don't treat it like it is.

I feel everyone is on this kick because of the pussification of America, everyone is so politically correct. That being said; I ghost hit and hide my mod very seldomly or don't smoke in public places. I do smoke in my office, but I don't blow clouds. Outside, or in my car, it's whatever, i'm not going up to people and blowing vape in their faces. Before, I didn't really smoke while driving or in public because I was pulled over multiple times from people calling the cops thinking I was smoking something else (It was early days of vaping.) The cops actually thought they were really cool and ended up going to the vape shop (I had business cards) to buy some stuff :) Now I see tons of people vaping while driving. More people than I saw smoking analogs when ecigs weren't out

With all the restrictions placed on smoking, vaping is like a long-denied freedom being granted to many of us. At first, it is easy to run naked in the streets, so to speak. After a time, for me it was simply easier just to be a little discrete. Need to pick my battles. Trying to convince strangers in public of anything is a waste of time. That's what the internet is for.

My roommate doesn't want me vaping in our apartment :( but I'm wondering if I should just do it anyway in my room when my door is closed. She wouldn't notice anyway :p
Did you ask her why? Maybe she should start brushing her teeth out on the lawn because you can't stand the smell of her toothpaste. Also, I'm sure she has some nauseating underarm deodorant that doesn't agree with your sinuses.

She blamed it on the apartments being "smoke-free" and said it wasn't allowed. :/ but hey, what she doesn't know won't hurt. :)

All's well here in Virginia. I'm even up north by DC and it's all good. Just ask the bartender beforehand and usually they are totally down. Most vape themselves LOL! But this is tobacco country and a Red state :D

OK is a red state, next door to me, they seem to have a big problem with vaping.

Over here in AR, also a red state......no problems at all.

Iowa has no problems with vaping (one of Reagan's weakest states in 1980 and 1984, Bush lost it in '88, Clinton won it twice, and Obama won it twice. ) Democrats have won 6 of the last 7 presidential races in Iowa.

So----Trying to make it into a partisan issue doesn't work because it doesn't follow. ;)

It seems like it comes down to states, since there are no federal laws about vaping, etc.
