I used to pass on those rooms even when I was a smoker. I couldn't deal with it, smelled too bad even to me. Anyone ever use the Atlanta airport indoor smoke rooms? Those were really nasty as well, but as stepping outside without going through the TSA screen again wasn't a really great plan between flights, I dealt with it.

I've smoked in a hotel bathroom a couple of times with the fan on and the door cracked just enough to let in make-up air for the fan. No smoke detector problems. I always asked for a smoking room, but sometimes back in the 80s and 90s they didn't have one during my stay and told me to go ahead and smoke in the room they gave me.

You'd think that if smoking set them off that easy I'd have done it in a smoking room or a non-smoking room.

These days my vape is 70% pg @ 10W and not much vapor there compared to my cloud maker friends. :)

The smoking rooms at Atlanta are nasty. But the up escalator lounge in Concourse A isn't bad. They have a smoking section, and decent food. A little pricey though.

Back when I smoked I hated airport smoking Kiosks. You really didn't have to light up, just breathe deeply. I remember an Atlanta to LA flight with a layover over in Dallas for 45 minutes. The airport was smoke-free. I deplaned and had to go outside through security to smoke two cigs, then re-enter and work my way back to my gate.

I don't miss those days at all! I was surprised that vaping was once allowed on planes. No more. I guess that was a result of cloud making.

The Smokers Aquarium....it was like a museum display. The nice thing was, you didn't actually have to smoke. You just walk in an stand for 2-3 minutes. Desire to smoke, gone.

The one with the bar upstairs. One of the few bars left you can still get a drink and still smoke inside.

In early April, I spent 2 days in Atlanta airport, due to Delta's monumental fiasco. There were thousands of people sleeping on the floors all over the place, due to hundreds of cancelled flights. I was a regular in that bar/restaurant; and I don't even drink. Finally, I was lucky enough to score a rental car (they were tough to get), and drove from Atlanta to Melbourne, Fl, rather than sleep another night on the floor of Concourse A.

Concourse B is where a man can get a good night's sleep.

I learned a valuable lesson this morning in my holiday inn hotel room. Vaping will set off the smoke detector and have the front desk clerk at your door. Never had a problem before until this room. Not sure why it set it off, but it sucks not being able to vape inside.
So be careful where you vape. It might set off the smoke detector, and its loud too!

The last time I was in a hotel room I went out to vape just like I would if I smoked because I had read of this happening and I generally treat vaping like smoking: if people can't smoke somewhere I don't vape there. It actually happened in my house recently for the first time, after 2 years vaping, when I was standing on the landing to the basement stairs and blew one or 2 huge clouds down the stair well.

There are two types of smoke alarms, you got busted by a photoelectric one, they are not fun. Husband got busted for taking a steamy shower next to one. You wouldn't believe the number of people that materialized in the room while that thing was going off and him walking around in a towel. Ionization vs photoelectric

Not a Hotel room....The other week I was in the hospital ER waiting to speak to the Doc about some test results.I'd been sitting there waiting for ~ 3 hours and had to use the bathroom, before exiting I thought Hmmmm, why not... and had a few good puffs off of my Kayfun/Pico,I waited a minute or so for the vapor to dissapate and went back to the waiting room.

I normally would have followed the rules and would have waited and then vaped outside off the Hospital property but heck I was nervous and I'd been waiting around 3 hours already. :)

I've done that any number of times when in or visiting a hospital. Took a friend down to the NIH in Bethesda for experimental treatment and would duck in and out of a bathroom with my Triton mini and higher nic, higher PG juice without a problem. Basically same setup for hotel rooms. No smoke detector issues. I'm don't bring something like my Pharaoh RTA with my 70 VG 6 mg nic with me to run on a higher watt mod.

That'll do it. Another way to use the Super tank is with a Triton 1.8 ohm coil. Works well for stealth with a higher PG juice.

In any case we can't do it unless we find actual cigarettes in the room, or butts lying around. The smell isn't enough.

Remind me never to stay in your hotel. My husband always smokes outside , but he field strips his cigarettes and empties his pockets into the trash once inside. He does this no matter where he is, if he smokes out of doors he field strips.

Sounds like your hotel would charge for that since butts could be in any trash can..

Vape in the pool area of the hotel. [emoji6]
A hotel without an indoor pool is considered "camping" to me.[emoji16]
