That's a good one, JustKryssi, but comparing Windows to a PV seriously? I don't think a PV bugs as much as Windows, at least not mine, never happened

I think smoking:vaping as Windows:Linux might be better....
Windows: (superficially) simple, populist, contains over 4,000 other unknown processes/spyware/pre-installed promotional crapware/open ports
Linux: As simple or as hardcore fiendishly complex as you want; don't like what's out there - rewrite the OS and share it, available in a zillion different flavours, and a damn sight cheaper than Windows. Odds are good that Windows users will ask "what's that?". Only slowly making inroads into government, though.
(also way easier to destroy a system with - c.f. attys, batteries etc.)

I'm glad you're pleased with it, but I happen to love my Windows. I've never had a crash yet and been using it since it first came out. I've also never had a big problem with viruses or bugs. Maybe I'm just lucky.
In the interests of full disclosure I should point out I'm a Mac user.
(although for the purposes of full full disclosure it dual-boots Windows, and there's a working-but-dusty-and-I-can't-remember-the-root-password Sun Ultra 5 machine on top of the wardrobe....)
