Vaping much more frequently than I used to smoke

Is that normal? I can't figure out if it's b/c I'm getting the nicotine in a different or if I feel less guilty about vaping so I am doing it more than I normally smoke. Anyone else?

Also, I have now made it two days with no cigarettes and this morning thought, "Maybe I should just take the pack out of my purse and put it away." I haven't done it yet but WOW, even to have that thought....vaping is way better than I thought it would be. Yay!

It happens to almost everybody, I think some of it is the novelty of being able to vape in some places where smoking was out of the question. You'll level off eventually and not even realize it.

x2

When I smoked analogs I was a closet smoker and tried to minimize the wife seeing me do it. So I would only smoke on the back patio or when I could sneak out at work, etc. With Vaping it's much easier to do it without people knowing. When I started I quickly started vaping non-stop.

I've been slowly getting it under control and lowering my Nicotine levels in eliquids to compensate.

I think this is totally normal...

I know I do it for 3 reasons:

No Guilt
More Opportunities (I can sit and vape in my home)
The "oh wow" Factor (Amazed by the tech of it... this will probably wear off... maybe. ;) )

When I began I vaped and vaped and vaped and could care less about how many ml and mg I was vaping. I have slowly begun to wean myself off/ away from vaping- 20 mg during the day and 10 mg in the evening. Lots of times, on short trips, I'll purposely leave my PV at home. Funny thing even though I'm still ingesting nicotine the same as when I was smoking I don't get the same overwhelming urge and need for a vape as I did with an analog. Vaping is all very personal and I am NOT saying anyone should follow my lead...it's just the way I want to do it.

I pretty much chain vape right now, but I think it's because I'm not getting enough nic, or might need to try WTA.

I did not do my homework before buying e-cigs. If I had, I'd have known that I needed a higher nic level and a better device. I have a Provari on the way, and a 24 and 36 strength liquids coming also. Hopefully that will help.

I think I vape about the same as I smoked. The difference is that I drag 2 or 3 times before setting it down vs one drag on the analog before laying it in an ashtray. I walked to the smoking section at work with my PV for the first time Monday and noticed that my PV went to my lips more often than the smokers put their analogs to their's. But because the absorbtion rate is lower with a PV, I'd have to say its pretty much equal, just SEEMS to be more.

Phew - very glad to see this is normal!

I think I have been vaping more b/c of ALL of the reasons all of you have given. I think I'm just going to give myself a break about it for a little while. I have some lower nicotine juice on the way and will throw that into the mix at some point.

I think I just can't get over the novelty - I love it!
