Vapor Flask V3 DNA40 Clone thread

Just got notification of shipping on mine a little while ago:
Order was placed last Tuesday 3-10 our day & time, FC shows it as Wednesday 3-11 their time (since they're 13 hours ahead of us.)
On another note:
I NEVER order anything from China during TWO annual holidays Especially since most of the products come from either Shenzhen or Hong Kong:
- 1. Chinese New Year
- 2. Dragon Boat Festival - This especially affects orders from Hong Kong and Shenzhen since they share the same ocean bay. The Dragon Boat Festival of 2015 falls on June 20. The holiday in China starts from June 20 to 22, 2015 BUT they usually take a week off to get drunk, eat and smoke cartons of cigarettes! LOL! Since it falls according to the Chinese Lunar Calendar, the date changes each year.

wonder of wonders my flask from focalecig actually shipped and its on its way
on a side note, i'm loving this v3 i bought here. so far its been working great, temp control works as far as i can tell. works great in regular kanthal mode, bottom battery buttons line up and absolutely no rattles.
one thing though is it normal after its been in a deep "sleep" to try to go into temperature mode for a few seconds before it fires normally on kanthal

If any are on the fence, I ordered reference 1660 in black and have had it for a few weeks. It worked so well for me that I've bought two actual VaporFlasks. If you're not sure if the flask is the way to go, this is an inexpensive method of gaining entry.
I'll be putting my 3FVape up on eBay soon. It fulfilled its purpose for me. Absent the Pre-Heat of the actual VaporFlask they work just like the actual.

Just a question but Im not sure I got the reservation about lack of pre-heat. I must have missed this in the forest of this thread!!

Just noticed the 'DNA40' section on the 3Fvape homepage has disappeared again although the flasks and sharks are still available it seems! Strange!
Preheat
When the dna 40 is used with a temperature sensing atomizer, an additional feature called Preheat is activated. No vapor is produced when the temperature is below the boiling point of the liquid. Preheat applies extra power until the heating coil is up to operating temperature to shorten the delay between pressing the fire button and generating vapor. Because the preheat is temperature based, it will not overheat or burn the vapor.
So,some will say the clone has it, some say it isn't there. In my experience if it is there it isn't as aggressive as the authentic. It presents as a one second delay from the time you hit the fire button to vapor. Not a big deal, just a slight difference.

Ok. thanks for that. So in your experience does that happen every hit or is it after a sleep? In any case, as you say its not a big deal as far as I can see!
14th February ordered,flew out on the 18th.
Don't plan on using the usb at all since I trust the nitecore more..
510 is adjustable.

The VF clone has that same 1 second delay regardless if nickel or Kanthal, I'm not seeing how the 1 second delay relates to the preheat.

That makes more sense to me. The main (but not only) problem with the smok M80 was a lack of pre-heat which made the ramp up to temp very sloooooooowwwwwwww...That doesn't appear to be the case for the VF clones...
I have two Evolv equipped mods that appear to have no issues (finally) and other than the 1 second delay on the clones I'm not seeing any differences between them to speak of. I will just leave it at that.

I have one on it's way and I was going to throw in a genuine Evolv - it would be awesome if I didn't have to go through the rigmarole of taking the thing apart and having to solder - which I hate doing.
I personally don't know - That is the newest of the new like a week or two I think.
My Kangxin unit shipped today (finally), no tracking info as yet, just a burning vAppetite for my new mod.
