Or maybe the wire is disconnected to the 510 positive and a hair away from where it should be so its arching? But yeah the clicking noise is not normal unless there's a short... But if the positive and negative is shorted then the board would shut off

Yeah.....gotcha.....hmmm.....what to do....

I am heading to bed soon (gotta be up early), so maybe I'll tackle it in the AM...Unfortunately I left my soldering iron at work though, so I might be dead in the water until I get back from my trip at the end of the week...I will keep you posted for sure though!! Thanks for the help man...... :)

I had this issue with my XPV DNA30 mod. Turned out to be a bad insulator around the 510 causing a short. Same clicking sound and all. Only difference was my resistance would be all over the place (anywhere from 0.0-9.9ohms) but it worked on all my other dna mods. Never had it happen to my Vaporshark but it sounds exactly the same as my issue.

Whoa.....thanks for the info!! It definitely sounds like it's the same thing! I will contact Vaporshark tomorrow and will see if I can send it in for repair.....and who knows, maybe they can upgrade it to a DNA 40 while they're in there!! :D

Just built a dual coil setup at .8ohms. This is about the 3rd time I have run dual coils, always loved the single coil and I think I still do. Can't seem to find a wattage I like with the duals. Now it's at 20 watts but I have tried 15 thru 25. Airflow is also a debacle, I am using the TugboatV2, with it wide open (2 holes each side) I find it way to airy. With just one hole open each side its to tight of a draw but really good flavor. Time to experiment some more...

I'm feeling like I can't wait for them to ship on Tuesday. I've got builds ready to go! Two sharkskins, a second QI charger on the way. Come onnn shipping notice!

I would feel that way too except I already have a DNA40...I really am trying to decide at this point if it is worth it. I guess I am just hearing bad stuff here, I do know there are people who love them.

I was OK with the juice channels and the questionable paint jobs but flat out not firing after a few days and others saying it has happened to them as well...I dunno..

Tell me something good.

I've had that happen with the same problem with sigelei, cloupor, and ipv devices and some people with vapor flasks and xpv have reported the same thing... So it's not an isolated vapor shark thing...

Well I have had my rDNA30 for about a month and no issues at all. Now that I have posted this, with my luck, something will go wrong.

I am seriously thinking of cancelling my Shark order...the XPV is doing it for me and these stories of 3 day old mods dying has me spooked. I still have a day to cancel before they ship it.

I thought the same thing for a minute (except my 2nd choice would be to wait for the next Radix), but then I realized the people who've had issues are probably disproportionately represented. I'm guessing the average user is more apt to get on the forum to share a negative experience because emotions will be higher. The people who are pleased are probably too busy playing. At least that's what I'm hoping...

The thing the rDNA has over the XPV is a user-swappable battery and wireless charging. The XPV has a better 510, better switch-gear, and much better CS/support. If I were you, I'd take the money you have allocated and put it aside until someone has a DNA40 powered bottom-feeder for sale. ;)

Who said anything about a REO? Not all bottom feeders are REOs, you know! :D

Oh...I thought you knew I ordered one....since you can see friend posts and I have been chirping about it...lol I did though and I am really excited about it...What else bottom feeds?

I did not know there were others....
