Question: for those who pre-ordered the rdna40, did anyone receive a confirmation of sorts?

I checked out as guest, and didn't really get anything. It shows that the full amount has been charged on my CC tho

I got an e-mail receipt almost immediately after ordering. I checked out as a guest also...

Somebody told me that wasn't possible, I told you it wasn't a big deal, not a big difference between the 30 n 40 boards.
The rDNA has a custom daughterboard in use that would make it very tough to replace (IMHO). I've also pretty much grew up breathing solder fumes, so I took the challenge. For me, it wasn't so much about the watts, as it was to experience the temperature limiting. Must say, though, the move away from Kanthal in and of itself has been a refreshing change for me!

If you're talking about a confirmation email- yes, I rec'd one immediately after purchase.
VS took their money right away & I didn't check-out as guest.

Hmm. I ordered mine approx 6 hours before it came online.

Got a reply from customer service and they say they're having some issues with the confirmation email. Good thing is I verified that the order is in. That's the important part for me. Phew. Got a tad worried for a bit

I did not get a conf. email either but I noticed they did charge my card, so I am assuming they have the order...maybe I will call.

You can do what I did: drop an email to ask about it, and provide the email address that you checked out with. They'll return you your order number :)

It is possible but the rdna has almost no room for it and the piggy back board isn't compatible exactly.... I dunno how the dna is laid out, may be easier

Well, 24 hours now with the new vaporshark rDNA 30 and I'm loving it! I'm running a Tobh on it with dual 28ga coils at .8 ohms. vaping at 30 watts - awesome vapor and flavor!

My only complaint is that the paint is already starting to wear out where the atty screws in. You can't notice it with the atty on, but the 510 is obviously slightly crooked as there's a half moon "swirl" already starting to develop around one side of the 510 connection. Not a huge deal as you can't see it with an atty on, but still worth noting.

All in all I'm very happy with it though! Even with an RDA at 30 watts, I'm able to blow some decent clouds! :)

Hey jp! Yeah that's pretty much unavoidable ... U should see mine with kfl+ screws scratching mine up...

I first hated those shark skins but now I love it... Because my paint is worn down and it covers all the blemishes

Hey man! Yeah I love the vaporshark. Up till now I was strictly a mechanical guy, but I could see myself getting used to vaping the DNA 30!

This is going to be my travel mod, so I need it to be rugged. Apparently besides any potential cosmetic issues (paint chipping off the fire button which I heard can be a problem, and atty "swirls"), it seems to be a well made mod! The shark skin will only help protect it so I'll be using it full time! :)

For sure... Mine shut down completely but a couple hours of work and it was back in action... I've dropped mine, soaked mine in ejuice, accidentally snapped the positive lead, and a small wire and some solder and it's back up and running... Lmk if u run into any problems... I've disassembled and resoldered mine so I know this device inside and out

Cool man....Yeah I work on electronics for a living myself (I'm a service engineer for a medical device company), so I'm thinking it might be something I could potentially tackle down the road if it needs it. But it's nice to know someone who is familiar with the inner workings of the shark!! :D

For sure buddy... My electronic knowledge is very limited... From installing car stereos in high school and modding xboxes and I'm not talking the 360 or the xbone

Lol nice! Yeah working on electronics is funny. People think it's harder than it is IMO....As long as you how how to solder then you can usually figure the rest out with a bit of common sense (and in some cases blind luck)! Haha

My first dna was the little vaporshark DNA30, but I've got the 40 pre ordered. My dna30 is all scratched up from one of my spheroids that has a burr on the bottom from the GP fork.

What medical device company are you with? I've been in sales for the last 8yrs.
