Well I've now tried 3 builds with the nickel wire. 1 on the russian and 2 on the magma. I've gotten the TP pretty much immediately (1 or 2 seconds) on all three builds even down to 11watts. 2 came in .19 Ohms, and 1 @ .3 Ohms- all 3mm ID. shooting for 410 degrees. the cotton is always very clean when I pull the build apart. I'm making spaced coils on a high TPI screw and they look great, no issues with wicking and apparently no hotspots.

Out of all the toppers I've tried with the rDNA40 so far, the nautilus mini @ 12.5 watts wins for both flavor and clouds. Magma second with the .19 build - so-so vapor production and the flavor is definitely lacking. The russian is practically no flavor. Nowhere near as tasty as the nautilus mini.

seriously thinking about ditching the TP concept and going back to kanthal micro coils.
Try using less wick in the coil. Using nickel really brings out the errors in our builds.

I realize that Vaporshark's customer service is hit or miss, but I gotta tell ya I am very happy with how they handled my rDNA 30 issue.... I was getting "Check atomizer" no matter what I put on top. So I emailed VS and they immediately sent me a prepaid shipping label to send the mod back to them. That was about a week and a half ago, and I just got the mod back today! They re-soldered the 510 connection which has resolved the issue. Probably something I could've done myself, but I didn't wanna void the warranty...

Overall I have nothing but good things to say about how they treated me....What are some of your experiences with them? Good? Bad?

Just a followup on my rDNA30 problem (which I posted about earlier in the thread). I was emailed a return shipping tag for service. I mailed it out on Monday 11/3 and it arrived at Vapor Shark on Wednesday 11/5. Today is 11/7 and I have a tracking number for it being shipped back to me.

It was repaired under warranty. They replaced the Evolve DNA 30 board/display.

Pretty quick turnaround. Service was fast so no complaints there. I did have to call them to find out what was done to it...I received a tracking number with no explanation.

Got my rDNA 30 back from vapor shark. 7 days from my door>them>my door. Works as it should again. I must say that I am more than happy with the warranty repair and the quick turnaround. They received it late on a Wednesday afternoon, repaired it and had it back to me by the following Monday.

Hey folks, have been enjoying reading this thread, I'm about to purchase the rDNA 40 - can anybody recommend a good atty for it that sits short-ish and fat. I have the MVP2 currently with Nautilus 5ml - I like this combo because minimizes charging (good battery) and minimizes having to refill a lot with the 5ml capacity. So what I want with the rDNA 40 is something that has decent ml capacity but shorter/fatter so it looks good and means it's gonna be more portable than the nautilus sitting on it. Recommendations?

For those that are running into issues (Not Hardware Releated) or that are not clear on how the new rDNA 40 works please watch the linked video by Basil Ray as it is probably one of the best explained videos out of all of them of how it works especially on how Temperature Protection works.

Honestly, I don't think there is an atty out there that will give you the capacity your looking for in a smaller foot print. If you want something short in a tank then you'll get around 3mL of juice only. You can always get into a Rebuildable atty like a Kayfun and get a nano tank for it or an Orchid as well and you will get around 3ml of capacity.

The rDNA is shorter than the MVP2 to begin with so you'll have an overall smaller device/tank combo.

If you don't mind building coils, I'd highly recommend the Infinite KFL+ v2 from Focalecig. I just got one and it comes with both regular and mini tank set ups. The mini setup is less than 1/2" shorter than the regular setup. I've been using it in the mini setup because I have 2 other KF's and wanted to try it out. I'll probably go back to full size.

Looking at some pics, the Aspire Nautilus is a pretty tall atomizer to begin with. Add the beauty ring for the MVP2 and the size of a MVP2, it's a very tall setup. A rDNA with KFL+ would be about 1/2" to 3/4" shorter, maybe more.

Check out the rose v2-S, or stumpy kit by Eden mods. Currently out of stock but should be in stock in the next few weeks. I think it's capacity is nearly 4ml.

If you are still using the glass tank the Nautilus came with you might consider swapping it for the hollowed tank, which will shorten the length a bit.

Preorders with them are never fun, but in the end they make sure stuff is solid before going out.

I had a problem with the USB port on my small vs dna. Opened a ticket with them, got a return label, smooth sailing.

I used a straight pin to apply a couple of small drops of Aleene's Original Tacky Glue over the intersection of the air channels and seam to prevent juice leaks. I used Photoshop to bring out the detail in the blacks so it was easy to see where the glue is which makes the glue look a whole lot uglier than it really is. It's not a thing of loveliness in person but really isn't all that noticeable.

Also, the glue stays put quite well. Wiping the top of the rDNA40 with a paper towel moistened with alcohol doesn't remove or soften the glue. However, you can scrape the glue off easily with your fingernail. Removing it does not harm or pull off the paint.

Edit: I just covered the spots of glue with some permanent black magic marker. It does a pretty fair job of making the glue look even less conspicuous.

I have had nothing but trouble with these guys and their products. They are very nice people, but not really cut out for operating a business. It sucks, because the products have potential. When I was dealing with them I always had this feeling that a bear balancing on a giant ball was going to come rolling through my living room at any moment. Looks like Hana has upped their warranty to a year, nice.

When I was trying to find some reviews on the rDNA 40, I came across the link below.

Well now that I have my rDNA 30 back from being repaired, I've had a chance to try the wireless charging system that I bought for it.

I can't tell if it's a good idea or if it's gimmicky. Probably both! Lol...i don't like how I have to take my atty off (I primarily vape gennys) every time I have to charge it (it lays on its side). But it seems to work well otherwise. I haven't decided whether I'm going to keep using it, but it's kinda cool to play around with it....

Whoever said that the mod gets warm when charging was right! The mod definitely heats up when charging. But other than that it seems to work well...

Any news on whether VS is going to build the wireless charging capability into future mods (or have they already)?

How could Hana literally lower the CS? these guys are terrible to work with. The guys as VS are nice but as you said very slow to react and repairs take IMO too long. I still like the tiny dna30 shark just for it's size and probably pick up a rdna40 at one point just because it's so cheap.

The rdna40 already has the wireless charging receiver built in. You'll still need the qi transmitter thougj
