most chips are made overseas maybe i should of just said its a USA company to be politically correct. i was under the assuption they were assembled in the usa sorry if i was misleading anyone that wasnt my intention and they ARE more accurate than the Chinese ones so the turn around time should be less also as long as they are in stock and several colors too

Intel, AMD, TI, Analog devices et. al. moved all their foundries overseas? I dunno, I guess it depends on what your definition of "most" is, so technically that statement might be or probably is correct, but I also think it's a little misleading, as it doesn't rule out the likelihood that there are domestic suppliers they could have gotten equivalent chips from. Although the cheapest ones might be from overseas, it really all depends on the details. I'm hardly a xenophobe, so I ordinarily wouldn't even have bothered to concern myself with this, but their name leads you to believe their products are both completely assembled and manufactured in the US, which you say they aren't. At least that's what it led me to me to believe, YMMV.

I also got the VSdna Wednesday. I put a Nautilus Mini on it and all I can say is WOW.

Great little setup for running errands.

Can't believe how little this thing is. Not much bigger than the iStick I got the wife. Putting the skin on it was 10 times more difficult than putting a 30 skin on the 40!!

I got my VS40 Monday morning and put a Basil Ray build on my KFL+. Had absolutely no problems. 440 temp, .16ohms and 20 watts. I am now on the 5th tank of a diy RY4 and it tastes just like the first tank.

My question is...do I ever have to rebuild this damn thing???

This makes me smile. This will be my exact setup as I've only used Kayfuns on mechs for over a year now. Very encouraging :)

Yeah floyd the KFL+ are my fav tanks. I went REO over a year ago and my KFL's weren't getting much use until I got the VS40. This setup is awesome!! Same build, same flavor for almost a week is unheard of from me.

I'm in Erie and have been plowing a sh_tload of snow the last couple of days. Any snow in Buffalo??

And floyd...watch the Basil Ray YT video. That's EXACTLY how I built mine.

Thanks for the tip. I have watched the Basil video and will be using that setup probably. I thought field of vapor video was very informative as far as the functionality of the DNA40. I hope to get mine soon. Orderd mine on the 11th so I'm hoping in the next couple weeks. I also ordered a couple LG batts and some 28awg ni200 wire as well.

Got a few flakes here but nothing bad yet. Keep all that white stuff down by you ;)

If you're referring to my post I didn't mean to imply it wasn't a real good product, or better than most Chinese products. I'm actually thinking of getting one.

BTW, unless I'm misunderstanding the specs (which aren't listed in an industry-standard format, so maybe I am), it reads to the thousandth, but it's only accurate to plus or minus 2 hundredths (well .018, to be exact), so I'm not actually sure what good that last digit is. Maybe I'm misunderstanding something there.

Woo Hoo!!!! Just got an email from VS with my tracking number. For those curious, I ordered my Nov. 9th and it shipped out today...Nov. 15th. Now, I just have to see how long it takes to get to an APO address.

I ordered mine Oct 17, looks like I will have it on Monday

Since I got my first rDNA 30 second hand I was wondering if the gun metal version I have is before or after they released them in black?

Sent from my LG G3 using Tapatalk

I believe its from before. I have a black rDNA which was ordered on 10/10/14. I actually wanted a gun metal...I think that only black is available now.

This is just a guess...I could be wrong.

My rDNA came in early - tracking showed Monday when I last looked, but it showed up today instead!

Also got my Russian 2.0 in the other day, which I had left in the box until my rDNA arrived. Tossed my first nickel build in there - seems to be going well so far! Not as easy to work with as kanthal, but wasn't a big deal either.

Hey freedog, can you give more info on how it compares to the istick, I have an istick which is great, how much bigger is the 40, heavier, looks - and battery life I wonder?
