It would be logical for VS to have allotted x number of rDNA40s and associated items for their package deal, physically organized/labeled the items that way in their shipping area and put each grouping in their computerized inventory as a single entry. The shipping department would then ship out what shows up as being in inventory.
I always add a couple of extra weeks in my delivery expectations for items not in stock to allow for manufacturing and customs delays, neither of which are uncommon in the industry. I also plugged in an extra week to allow for Xmas delays by carriers.
