Finally got my rDNA 40 from intaste!

Now waiting on ni200.. Where does everyone get theirs? I got to order 25' from temco before they were completely out of stock. This isnt gonna last too long trying to get used to building nickel.. Any tips?

For the mean time, what wattage does everyone use with 1 ohm of kanthal?

Wow, I like that ;)

Order #100064372, placed at 11:40pm (yep, just made it!) on CyberMonday. Hopefully it'd come with the grandest of the updates eh!

In what ways does the vape quality change?

I love being able to tweak temperature to bring forward particular flavor nuances I personally prefer in any particular juice with each pull being consistent from start to finish. I'm also quite fond of being able to use power to control vapor volume for what strikes my mood at any given time.

Even though I can't recall my last dry hit before getting my rDNA40 I do find that juices taste "cleaner", for lack of a better description,
with temperature control. Coils and wicks are staying cleaner for me but some people haven't seen a difference in how quickly their coils get gunked.

However, even though I have enjoyed the rDNA40 with TP so much that I've got a second on on the way I'm skeptical that many people who enjoy 50+ watt high volume vapes are going to have much fondness for the DNA 40 chip. Also, some people will not have the patience to learn how to build successfully for TP to work correctly and, so far, the only commercial Ni200 heads that are available are for the Nautilus.

I built my first nickel coil. I tried using the 6/32 screw, but was having problems doing it that way. So, I wrapped a spaced coil around a 3mm screwdriver and it worked well. Here's a picture on my lemo drop:

One question. I was watching video tutorials on the rdna 40 and it said when you put the 40 in temperature control mode that volts would no longer show; however, the volts are showing, but so it the temperature. Is this a new feature with the updated screen?

I think it's been answered by a couple people in how they have had a difference made in vape quality. For me it's more of a quality from the beginning of the draw to the end of the draw, solid and consistent, time after time!

Wait a mint -- your order number of 64372, placed at 11:40 PM Cyber Monday, has shipped, and mine, with order number 63782, placed Cyber Monday at 12:13 PM, hasn't shipped yet??? (It's also still showing "Processing" in my account, so they didn't just neglect to send the email.)

Anyone else with order numbers in the 64k and above range gotten shipping notices?

I guess I need to give them a call tomorrow.

Uh... tell that to the "Kangertech Temperature Sensing Coils" (quote from the box) sitting on my desk as I type this that I ordered from Vapor Shark about three days ago. I think they'll be insulted.

I'm not positive about this but pretty close to it, and even more sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong: Yes, it's a new feature on the version with the updated screen.

The new bigger screen has 3 small lines for ohms, volts and temp. The small screen only has 2, ohms and temp or volts when not in TP.

Mine is in 64k range and hasn't shipped yet. Cyber Monday order as well.

Qorax is in Canada so a batch to the US addresses, then a batch to int'l addresses, then back to US addresses.

I am searching temocoindustrialpower.com for wire right now which looks like a steal deal.

this is what im looking at so far

Pure Nickel Wire 28 Gauge RW0198 - 50 FT 0.0126 in. dia non resistance AWG Ni200 Nickel 200
Kanthal Wire 24 Gauge RW0250 - 100 FT 1.57oz Series A-1 Resistance AWG

are these the correct wires? what is the difference between Kanthal A-1 vs Kanthal D? If these are the wires i have been shopping in the wrong area for my wires. This stuff is only 10$ for 100ft of kanthal

Pure Nickel Wire 28 Gauge RW0199 - 100 FT 0.0126 in. dia non resistance AWG Ni200 Nickel 200
Shipping: Ground - $0.00
Shipped in 13 weeks

Even though I just got a Yihi SX Mini last week and absolutely love it.....I caved and put in an order for the rDNA40 lol. Must stop buying vape gear!

you will love it. The feel is just so unique to all other mods ive held. so solid tiny and velvety feeling.

also thanks for the link ktm, got me some lightning vapes nickel ordered off amazon since i dont use ebay :p , hopefully temco cancels my nickelwire order i just put in, 13 weeks is kind of ridiculous wait time, i ordered a bunch of kanthal A1 from them though since the price there is stellar. if they dont cancel the nickel it was only 7 bucks, ill just get a surprise package of nickel wire 13 months from now

Next time order off of their website: www.lightenvapes.com That way you can use their coupons and shipping is still free. They are the most reliable vape vendor I've come across...I can't recommend them highly enough.
