Thanks.

I was kinda hoping to grab one for the price that VS dropped them down to for the holidays. Right around $135. VK still have them priced at the original MSRP of $170. I have a rDNA 30 but would really like a second one.

Oh and VK is very reliable. I have dealt with them before without issue.

The rDNA 40 is only $189.00, my VS 30w has been doing a lot of sitting lately.......

Vaporshark emailed me this afternoon. Asked me to send them the picture of the screen. Then emailed right back after I sent the picture (and the scrolling video). They said this was a known issue and they would send me a replacement after they receive mine. They also included a priority mail label. So it's all boxed up and ready to go out in the morning. Hopefully I'll get the next one before next weekend. Though they did say stock was running low.

I like to keep up with toppers that might work for newer vapers so I've been playing with a Nautilus (not the mini) for about a week using the Ni200 heads. I can see my rDNA40 only sometimes hit TP after I'm done vaping and flip the device over. Takes about a half second or so.

I've been doing mouth-to-lung hits with the two smaller air flow settings and direct lung hits with the largest setting. I've been using 8–20 watts at 390°–410° with 5–10 second draws. The only time I see meaningful throttling is when I use very gentle draws. Strong draws keep temperatures in a very happy place.

I would recommend the rDNA40/Nautilus with Ni200 coils to newer vapers if budget allows. However, I would very much like to see clearos that produce better flavor. Can't say I'm a fan of the Nautilus flavor compared to my Tilemahos RTAs. I want to see better for vapers just starting out.

Also, I would like TP device prices to be more in line with what the average new vaper's budget allows. Brandon said that Evolv will be making a cheaper 25 watt TP chip so looking forward to seeing pricing on those devices.

I've found with those coils I set the temp to 450 and no more temp protect. You aren't going to run it dry so no reason to worry about the higher temps then you can run it at the watts that tastes best to you. I think with a tank you don't have to worry about being at 410 you aren't going to burn the cotton and I like between 14 and 16w for the best flavor with those at .3 ohms.

I still use both DNA30 and rDNA40. I've been using my Cloupor Mini a lot too.

Cotton starts to burn (heavily singe) at 450°F. Not a problem when your wicks are wet but when it dries out you'll have slight burnt cotton taste. I'm vaping a .13Ω coil at 420°F at 18w and the only time it hits TP is when I run out of juice in the tank. It's not a bad thing to hit TP.

They seem to work better then my own coils but you have to run them at a higher temp. The coils I wrap myself while are the way they are supposed to be ,whatever that is, I use twisted 32awg NI200 8 wraps slightly spaced at 3mm ID with KGD but to me the vape is not as satisfying as with Kanthal. Maybe it is just me but I don't really see what is that great about this technology. I am trying so hard to like it but even with my own coils I have to run them at about 440 14w after they get broken in to get a decent vape. I really want to like this but so far am not that impressed for the extra work to build them although that is getting pretty easy now too.

I run at 440 all the time.
Next time you wick, leave it dry and test fire at 440. My KGD only gets very light browning, at that temp.
28ga is a lot easier to work with.
8-9 wraps of 28ga on 3mm, will give you about the same ohm as the twisted 32
    good luck........:thumb:

So I'm not the only one with the defective LG battery? Mine cause my device to get extremely hot im probably lucky it didn't destroy my vaporshark.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2

My battery didn't work at all.
VaporShark sent me a new one, but doesn't appear to be the LG.

My coils and tank are working well. I don't have any problems really, except that my juices are pretty gunky and I'm having to put in a new coil every other day or so. Are there any good solutions for cleaning coils since dry burning these Ni200 coils is a no-no?

Set the temp to 600, 40 watts, dry burn, repeat.
Use a small brush on them.

Have been able use the same coil for a few weeks, doing this.

What do you people think of the flavor with the nickel coil compared to Kanthal. I find the Kanthal a little better. The nickel seems to be slightly muted comparatively. I like the TS heads but not sure if I like the coils as well as Kanthal. I'm trying to like it better but find my self grabbing the Kanthal with the same juice.

Same thing I've come to realize. With nickel my juice is muted. The whole no dry hits thing is great but meaningless for me who loves flavor.

I prefer the flavor from Ni200 TP builds by a lot over Kanthal but that is speaking about my own builds rather than the Nautilus heads. I find both the TS and Kanthal Nautilus heads produce muted flavor. You are probably finding that the TS Nautilus heads aren't built to handle the wattage and temperature to allow you to enjoy your juice the way you prefer.

I keep hoping that we will see some Ni200 heads for either the Kanger Subtank or Joye Delta 2 sometime soon. Those should produce better flavor.

I would try what puffon suggested and give some 28ga a shot. I have yet to have twisted builds compare to a single build coil. Probably just me but flavor and vapor are better for me with a single!!

It's still trial by fire so to speak with TP but so far I'm diggin' it! The fact that I needn't be concerned about burning my juice and wick is really nice. You really have to experiment a lot to get your sweet spot but once you start to dial it in it is pretty special!!
