Sounds like many of the devices with a 2-10 date are having the same issues.

I am pretty sure it is every "big screen" DNA40 to date. Mine has a date of 1/24/15, and as you can see from the video above it has the same issue. It amuses me that my original, the first batch sent out from VS, has yet to have a single issue.

I've been watching you guys on the news...hope you get your water back soon!!!

Thanks. My rDNA 40 showed up just as the city realized that we would likely run out of water. As a city official, I haven't had much time to play with this new toy. Things are finally slowing down. Most of the city has water back (with a boil advisory) and the surrounding areas will be getting water back soon.

Well VS got back to me and they can't replace my rDNA 40 because they don't have any. Said it would be a couple weeks before they can do the RMA.

You would think they would offer to take your unit back and rebuild it. I guess I assumed that final assembly was in the USA. Maybe not.

My big screen was built 12/27/14. Been using it daily for 3 weeks. Not a single problem. My small screen was built sometime back in 10/14. Been using that one daily for 3 months. Not a single problem.

Feel bad for all of you that do have problems, but just want other readers to know there are good ones it there too.

Vaporshark sent me a RMA then told me to contact them mid March because they can't replace the unit. At first thy told me they think the bugs will be out but now they don't know. I asked could I RMA it for a refund and take my money elsewhere. They said yes. At this point I see no reason to keep throwing good money after bad into any DNA40 devices. They all seem to have glitches on Hana, VS, Vaporflask etc. What really worreis me is all these people who are hyped for the Yihi temp control. I am willing to bet that chip will have some glitches too and being in Chinese mods is gonna make it hard to get a warranty or replacement for sure. I am almost to the point where I wanna quit vaping and sell the equipment I have left.

My old man has to send his sx mini back because of a charge port. He had a new unit within a week. All yihi returns go through vendors, not the company.

I will say that mine hasn't glitched again in the last 24 hours but I am sure it is gonna happen again. One thing I have noticed is when it is cold outside or at my work or cold in the car is when it acts up the most. Also when I have a Kanthal build I don't see a glitch.

I live in Arizona, so the "cold" theory can be put to bed.

I will say when I use kanthal in it, it only happen once in about a 2 week span, and that was the first fire after I changed the battery. The last few days, with a nickel coil, it happens multiple times a day, so I would say it is definitely tied to the TP function. I am not that worried about it, it is strictly a visual thing and doesn't affect the function. I will send it in when Evolv gets a handle on it.

I guess that is why there is stealth mode and the screen is on the bottom haha

I have vaped my Ni200 build over rDNA40 while shovelling snow. -22 C outside. No issues.

With the exception of a very few people, the problems do not affect the overall operation of the device.

Because of this, I would bet that there are many more screen issues than we know because people typically don't look at the screen on their rDNA 40 after taking a vape. I would dare to say that the 2 times I have seen my screen screw up are only a small portion of the actual times that it was screwed up. The first time I notice mine was screwed up was when I was vaping in a dark room in front of a reflective computer screen. I noticed something looked different so I flipped it around and sure enough something was different. Vapor flasks probably have significantly more reports of this because the screen is pointed at your face when you are using it.

In the 2 weeks I've had mine (born date of 1/19/15) I saw it glitch once. I was using a Nautilus with the nickel coil and caught it scrolling. I've been keeping an eye on it since then but haven't seen it glitch since.

BTW, the nickel coils in the Nautilus suck since there isn't enough air flow to keep the coil cool. With the temp protection set to 450 it still hits it at 13 watts.

Well, yesterday I ordered another rdna. My first go around I had 3 that were all faulty until I gave up. I couldn't resist temptation and gave it another try with the big screen model. Tracking says it will be here Monday so it's going to be a long few days. lol

It is highly likely it will have the glitch, but like I said, it really isn't that big of a deal since it still functions correctly. If you never look at your screen (easy with the rDNA) then you will not even know. If it does glitch, wait to send it back until Evolv figures it out, or the end of the warranty closes in, whichever comes first.
