My rdna 40 ( born date 2-10-15 ) is having more frequent screen issues today. It also takes a while for the screen to blank out. I counted roughly 40 seconds. Is that normal?

    Sounds normal.
Mine takes about 45 sec to blank out.

If you are having other screen issues it should be RMAed.

It'll definitely get RMAed. I'm gonna wait until they get some reliable chips into production, though. I'd also like to get another temperature protected device before I let this one go.

Well, I take it all back. I was wrong. I just locked myself in a dark room.

    Bright when firing.
    Dim after firing
After 7-10 seconds it goes from dim to dimmer (slow fade affect)
    Off after 45 seconds.

OK...after a third look ( in a dark room ), mine is doing the same as yours. The slow fade is really subtle. Would never have picked that up in a lit room.

Looks like I am one of the lucky people to get a screwed up screen. I wouldn't have noticed this if I hadn't been sitting in front of my laptop and saw the reflection. Once I let the screen shut itself off, it seemed to be fine on the next vape. It was scrolling, left to right. I haven't noticed it again, but I am starting to wonder if this is why VS put the screen on the bottom.

Mine is exactly the same and also fixes itself once the screen blacks out, or TP comes up. I'm going to email Evolv and ask them if it will be covered beyond the 4 months if they have not fixed the issue by the time my warranty is up. What is the point in sending it back if they haven't figured it out yet....right.

    I recorded it this morning....lol

I received my 1st rDNA 40 in early January from the CyberMonday sale. It had very occasional screen glitches and took me a while to get a pic to send to VS. They replaced it (freaking awesome customer service) with a new one with a 2-10 born date.

    I received it yesterday!

    The good:
Improved 510 - SS instead of chromed brass. The 510 pin has a much stiffer spring that the 1st one and atomizers I had trouble with now work flawlessly. (I had a Lemo that started at .19 on on the old VS and creeped up to .25, .26, and then the resistance started jumping all over the place. I just let it sit while waiting for the new VS. Put it on the new one yesterday, initial reading was .14 which is about what it should have been and it settled to .12 and hasn't budged.)

    The bad:
Instead of the intermittent screen glitches, now the screen glitches are animated, scrolling, sometimes part of the screen, sometimes the whole screen. Sometimes the screen goes blank and then comes back on. Pretty much every time I hit the fire button somethiing weird happens with the screen.

Other than the screen, the device works perfect. I e-mailed VS with new pics and questions on clarifying the warranty period. I am NOT going to send it back until the end of the warranty period hoping Evolv can work out the chip issues.

Sounds like many of the devices with a 2-10 date are having the same issues.

I am overly impressed with how VS is dealing with these issues though. Even though I have had issues, I am a customer for life just because of their exemplary customer service.
