Does anyone find the battery life is terrible ? How many hours ? Or does it last a 12 hours day for you?

I get a full day+ using at these settings:

Dang it. Going off for a 11 days trip and I forgot to bring all my mods and tanks. The only one I have with me is my k4 and rDNA. Feeling a little paranoid here

Side note: I totally forgot how nice the RDNA feels without the skin on. So damn slick and solid.

My battery lasts all day with nickel. Kanthal is a different story obviously. The reason being that nickel doesn't need nearly as much power to heat up. Usually it's humming along at around 2.5 volts.

I understand the fear, but that's a pretty solid option to be stuck with!

Are you running nickel or kanthal? I find nickel is still less reliable for me. Guess I need to keep messing with it to gain confidence.

Battery life is the only thing I find lacking with my VS rDNA 40. I would put it on par with a mech battery life wise. Pic below is of my typical settings but I'm using a Ti coil so temp should be closer to 450ish I reckon.

hi guys, i've been using on rDNA40 for 2 months, it has been great.
But today it keeps saying "Temperature Protected" after I rebuilt my coil.... it's only 0.14 ohm...anyone knows how to fix this problem?
I have used 0.11 or 0.12....no problem at all...why this time?

Most likely your new wick isn't keeping up. This means there isn't enough juice to keep the coil cool. The other option is that your wick isn't touching all the coils. This causes hot spots which will set off temp protection.

For me, 99% of the time, temp protection is a wick issue.

Check your wicking. Probably an airflow or juice flow problem.

Got my new small screen rDNA-40 in the mail today. So far, no screen issues. Build date is 12/19/2014.

The paint on this one is different than my first. It's the new paint that feels slightly rubbery. Also, the new one has the zip charging.

Other than the fact that it came with a dead battery that doesn't want to charge, it's all good!

Did you let the battery warm up to room temperature before charging?

Not was already at room temp. Here in SoCal, it's warm enough out that I don't really have to worry too much.

I'm not too concerned. I have batteries and I'm sure if I contact them they'll make it right.
