I cut a clear cellphone screen protector to fit mine, as the plastic protective "cover" was getting scratched from daily use. I polished the scratches out of it with some 3M finesse-IT compound and then immediately covered it. Disclaimer: I am a bit OCD, if it isn't obvious.

Me too. How hard was it to get it to fit properly? What did you use to measure it with the lip being stuck out around it?

It took me a couple of tries ... basically I just measured the inner dimensions of the actual plastic "window" inside the lip and cut it to fit. I had some extra protective screens for an old Samsung galaxy laying around, I believe they can be had from Amazon for pretty cheap. It's not perfect but it covers 99% of the screen (corners were tough as they're curved). The film doesn't bond all the way around the edges but it bonds enough in the middle/center portion of the plastic to the point where it doesn't move at all and sticks very well. Clarity of the screen isn't affected at all. The film appears to be way more scratch resistant than the factory plastic cover... I suppose that's the point of them. :)

The same material could be used as an atty washer so you won't scratch the area around your 510 connector.

Hmm, interesting. Do you think the adhesive would hold up? I read something somewhere that JWraps told a customer that they could not do a piece for the top, because it would just shift. Maybe it is better adhesive then what they use? I might have to give this a try.

Did you guys see the description on their website recently...Just noticed a little change in the description, quote from rDNA page, "It also weighs in at only 6.6 ounces, includes a user serviceable Panasonic NCR18650B (3400mAh) pre-installed, and comes with buttons that click as precise as each pace keeping beat on a metronome."
Although the bullet points lower down still say Sony VTC4... Nice upgrade...wonder if it was supply issues...
So it is not only the color that is changing it seems...

Yeah, me too, but I would feel special if my finish stays looking like "metal."

Tell us more...or perhaps a picture.. :) i plan on using one without a shark skin...so curious to see what the GM will end up looking like..

Wth? Is that even a high drain battery? I was wondering how they were still getting stock of Sony VTCs, because it turns out that Sony has discontinued their VTC series.

hey Shawn.. Im in Largo!

Ive spoken to a a knowledgeable retailer..( Jordan at Steam Train in Pinellas Park ) and best he can tell.. the rumor about Sony d/c batteries is false. just the same, high drain isnt what a reg mod like rDNA is about anyway. so, the switch to the Panasonic would be a great choice.

In fact, I recently went back to higher ohm builds in my Erlkonigin. Was running .6 parallel builds...@ 17 watts.. but I rebuilt to a 1.8 ohm coil, at 17 watts, and the vape is BETTER

Jwraps uses a different kind of material, with very different properties.

Lots of battery talk. In spite of rumors to the best of my knowledge Sony is still making them. I started a thread about it a while back.
Before when I was talking to the guys at Vaporshark. I knew they were looking at these. They have more mAh which gives longer life between charges. These run on the evolv chip so the draw isn't like using a mech. This is actually probably a better battery choice.

Even know they are not IMR batteries? I know the device gives protection, but the battery can still fail and the composition would seem to be one of the main factors in how that battery reacts when there is an issue.

I am not worried about it on my DNA device with less draw. I will still use Sony VTC5s or AW batteries on mechs and REOs.
Here is a quick older thread on IMR.
What exactly does "IMR" mean?
Normally,I would try to give more of a response, but have some kind of bug I am fighting today.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, bro. I will give it a read. Not a problem and hope you feel better.
