Still seems odd to me. I never thought it was a static issue. Never had that experience on my vaporshark. I leave my attys on mine with no loss of charge. Only time I had your experience there was a little water on the floor in my Boston Whaler and the outboard engine wasn't grounded properly. I got zapped up the steering cable into my stainless steering wheel great fun. If you haven't yet do make sure the battery tray is dry of ejuice. I vape mine plugged in with no issues. I will definitely be following your situation with interest. Hope you resolve it.

I've gotten a shock before, or more like a tongue-to-9vbattery type of slight buzz on my finger, but I think it was because my ring was right on the usb port. It's happened a couple times, but nothing ever more than a hmmm, what was that? Nothing like a holy cow, what the hell?!?!

Krashman, actually you can get your VS rDNA from Beyondvape too and maybe have a better CS experience than some have had with VS.

I haven't been through every post but it seems most have had a fine experience with CS and the device itself.

Anything else I need to know (or read) on this matter? Have you had issues?
Thx in advance

I had no issues except slow shipping. There have been some not-so-happy customers here, but I can't say for certain how rampant the problems are, or if the problems are anymore than any other place. Options are always a good thing though.

p.s. I can tell you too that Beyondvape (the other co. I mentioned that sells VS products) is a great company, but I can't say that any one vendor is infallible.

The device is pretty nice overall. The buttons are cheap and the plating wears off, though. The customer service is terrible, shipping is slow and I will never buy from them again.

Well my screen died this morning. I noticed it flickering a little last night.
Called and got a nice customer service person right off.
They sent me a shipping label.
Hopefully, it gets fixed and back soon.:)

Man, that's just terrible! After all the waiting it dies in a week or so. At least it got handled quickly and by a friendly person.

Agree. Definitely a bummer. I am happy I got a friendly person that was willing to help. Maybe things are settling down now after all the sharkweek craziness. Hopefully, this is the norm.:)

I don't think that calling the buttons cheap or that the plating wears off is a fair characterization. The chrome added to the fire button has worn off on a couple, yes, but this is a plastic button with a partial chrome covering. The buttons continue to function however. We have had a couple of incidents of stuck fire buttons as well, but only a couple. I haven't read anywhere about issues with the plus/minus buttons plating wearing off. Their shipping system definitely needs work however, I will give you that.

For a mid price point device it is very solid and well designed. Myself and most others on this forum are happy with their purchase.

I am certainly happy with the build quality of my rdna - I have had it for about 2 weeks now and it has become my all day device. No shark skin yet and it has no blemishes or scratches either from daily use. As for the buttons - i thought they had made them metal now, so are they still plated? Or are you guys discussing the older models?

That is exactly what the buttons are. They are cheap and the plating is coming off. How else would you describe this?

I ordered my rdna Sunday night, haven't had a single email, anything from VS.

That same Sunday night I ordered a Magma and Tugboat from VaporDNA (in California) and received that package Wednesday.

They have a disclaimer on the page about a 10-day (possible) wait time. Granted, I wouldn't think that applied to an initial email though. There are options at least with where you can purchase it. As much as I love the DNA board, the compact size of the rDNA and the price I got it for, I can't exactly say knowing what I know now about the durability of the finish of the device I would order it again. I mean, true, I surely bought this thing for function (and some form factor, e.g., size and replaceable battery), but for the price (even when factoring in the discount) I need certain matters, even superficial ones, to not be cheap when paying the tag we all paid a minimum of. I only have tiny pieces of paint chipping around the button and on a corner next to the screen, but considering how well I take care of my devices, it doesn't really make any sense. Oh, and I do have a skin.

I have mine about a month now with zero issues....I really like this device and hope that in their new model they can rectify some of the build issues that i see coming up..i wouldn't even mind spending a few more bucks...but having said that i am also into rc helicopters and rc quadcopters....I have spent thousands on just released quads and heli's that wind up having many problems...Some are corrected easily and some not...When something new is released the people who first buy that item are testing guinea pigs ...Hopefully the vendor of this product visits this forum and makes a wise business decision...Good customer service is very important.

i wish you the best newport, when i sent mine in it took a full 10 business days for them to fix it, and then more than a week for it to be delivered. lets hope all the craziness of shark week and ecc has finally calmed down and their turnaround is faster

Wow sorry to hear that it took so long. Glad you got yours back. I am bummed being back in this. Fingers crossed it works out well.

Not sure I would call it mid priced point. For most buyers they are buying it to be one of their better devices. It is $10 more than the current Provari that is built like a tank. Sure it is cheaper than a Mark Bugs Wizard, but that is a very specialized limited run device.
