What? What does that mean o_O

Burping out loud using Tapatalk

The rdna has a daughter or piggyback board that controls the button lights, has the 800 mah usb connector and has all the buttons on it... This then connects to the evolv chip

After my daughter board got fried from juice getting on it I had to disassemble my rdna to fix it and fix the short

...They could've sent a mass email to their customers or displayed the delay notice on their website.
Vapor Shark has been in business long enough to know this was not cool. They're not some tiny mom & pop operation.

I would agree that posting on Facebook without putting a notice on their site was ill-advised. However, I have never, ever received an email for any preorder delay and can't recall seeing posts from anyone indicating that they have for their preorders. People who preorder with the expectation that they will be notified via email about delays are bound to be disappointed.

I can't figure out why e-cig companies don't use an email blast to notify customers of preorder delays because it would avoid a lot of perfectly understandable customer crankiness and lessen customer service costs from not having to deal with individual responses about delays. The only thing I can come up with is that perhaps it may not be straightforward to tie the preorder info needed for mass email notification to shopping cart software?

Not for ecig hardware no, but for other stuff yes. More than once. Bleeding edge electronics and bike parts for a couple of examples. And each time I thought to myself "Damn! That's some quality customer care!"

It's very little effort to compose an email and send it to a list. Not everyone does Facebook.

So, while I admitted to having the patience of a gnat. This does not all boil down to patience or lack thereof.

1) Placed order...no confirmation email...just a bank withdrawal. If I order a single cartomizer from anyone, I get a confirmation email.
2) Called about skins...got wrong information
3) Called about skins again, got different information but still slightly wrong as it implied packaging that did not exist
4) On each of the two first "I think I will cancel" calls, they offered me two different stories re: delivery dates; both of which turned out to be dead wrong.
5) Point of Sale systems do include email addresses. It is completely stupid to expect us to search the internet or Facebook for answers. Pre-order schmee order. Who does that? You took money therefore you can send email update. I agree with the poster above, it would save them money to do so and be much more efficient.

Despite my uncertainty about the quality or lack of in the mod itself, there are lessons to be learned here regarding customer handling. I want them to succeed because they seem like friendly guys and I like friendly people.

As has been mentioned, the truth and under-promising while over delivering would have kept my order in the system and made them look like heros.

They do have a niche and need not worry about losing us because they were not ready.

Anyone who wants a tiny dna 40 right now, is very interested in a rDNA.

Any admin worth paying can whip up the SQL query in about 12 seconds.

SELECT email FROM sales WHERE productID= ‘rdna40d’;

or something like that. I'm no admin.

One of the final things to push me over the edge into canceling mine was the thought that if they're this far behind now I bet they fly through the QC process just to get these out the door as fast as possible. Knowing their customer service history, the last thing I want to deal with is getting a defective device. Then have them say it was fine when it left them, I must have done something to it.

Ordered my rDNA 40 this morning. My first DNA mod. I have a MVP2 and and Vision Spinner II. Wanting to get into building coils. Gotta decide what to put on top of it. For now I'll just run my Aspire's and Aerotanks. Thinking about a Russian.

Sorry dude... If u ordered today it's gonna be about a month before you get it... On the other hand u should have plent of time to think of builds and get the ni200 wire

Yup...that thought crossed my mind as well...at this point it is all water under the bridge.

They have pulled enough revenue, if they are managing it properly to have a normal back-end systems and a good IT support team.

Mass mailing is hard. It is why I have no spam in my inbox ...they just mass mailed me about a juice sale...LOL

I am not trying to trigger anyone's defend mode here. I think if we tell them the truth they will improve and that would be a great thing. Time to invest in PoS and comms.

Another reason I opted to pick one up from their store. I know not many people have this choice but they have a store about an hour away so not too bad of a drive (I like driving). I plan on having a KFL+ built with ni200 before I get there and test it in the store for a while before I leave.

*edit: I also have 2 LG 2500mah batteries fully charged that I'll bring along too.

Anything single coil and Kayfun-like is a good starter. Practice with some Kanthal while you are waiting? Don't forget an ohm reader =)

Unlike a lot of posters, i'm not in a huge hurry. I just want a quality device. I didn't want a clone. From what I can tell, vaporsharks are quality. Thought hard about an XPV. Had a VF in my cart but didn't pull the trigger. $300 is a little more than I wanted to throw down right now. I may not even start building right away. I may throw the new nickel coils that are coming out soon in my aspire's and vape away. I'm sure I'll notice a difference over my current devices.

Just before that 'juice mass mail' I also got a reply stating that the devices will be shipped by November 7th, maybe earlier :)

Ah, I canceled so I would not get that. Good! They are doing it right now.

LOL. I have so many mods now it doesn't matter...I may even take a look again after they are all straight. Meanwhile my Reo and Istick are getting that small craving under control....

I do want a bottom feeder DNA 40...

I think they are quality but not anywhere near VF or the xpv ... My rdna 30 broke a month into owning one... Definitely better than any clone, Hana or sigelei... But it's pretty prone to breaking... The 510 is good and the wiring is done well but the case design and paint on the mod isn't great.. And the board is prone to shorting when a little juice gets inside which is very possible ... Juice can seep inside the buttons, USB port, the edges of the panels... It took one accident and my daughter board was fried
