It is very reminiscent of the pre-order. Now, most here realize or know that I'm an evolve and vaporshark fanboy. I have been for some time. out of 1600 units sold on black froday alone, and average batches of a few hundred good mods rather than 1200. the majority of people probably wont wait 30day. Os like to think that after the preorder VS figures, in a pavlonian way, to give themselves more time in case another hiccup happened. so lets seepissed off people for waiting a week longer than expectedpissed off people for qc not going well enoughpissed off people for doubleing up on qc, and extending time given but making a new deadline.
So I reckon they just can't win? Yes they are a business. And like any business they are in business to make money. In this case of the rdna40 they are not making near as much as most would think, shipping extra product. Giving away things, expediting snipping, hiring more people, trashing product, it wouldn't shock me at all to hear that themrdna40 has cost them more than it made them.
But facts do not change, the malfunction boards are a result of something in the mfg process with evolve, my bad one didn't start acting up for a few days after I had it, so I'm f the mind that as much as I love evolve and vs, I welcomed the delay in preorder and woul welcome his as well if it increased my odds of a good product. Granted tht is easy to say, especially after having the opportunity to have one.....the vape is more than worth the wait.
for other vendors wish the board, ive seen a few mention other vendors.
if its a mfg issue with evolve how does getting the same bard from another modder help? and are they doing as much to prevent you from getting a damaged board in less time? granted appearances of mod is a personal thing, maybe you really wanted that in the first place and now see a reason to justify it, cool. still no reason to bash a company doing all it can to deal with what is essentially a supplier issue.
and why demand the same fb announcement to your email? so you can read it twice, while they have lists ime to work on the actual problem?
I have to commend VS for dealing with this the way they are again, just like I did in "the great preorder of 2014" issue. people screaming at these guys on the phone and taking smack and when I called they were nice as can be.
I get wanting to cancel and go elsewhere. hey others move up, woks for everyone trash talking with it another thing.

You probably could have ordered before cyber Monday if it's that important you have it sooner rather then later.
You all know there is a delay.
Anyone who wants a refund merely has to ask for it.

Seems many think they can do a much better job, who will put their money where their mouth is and show VS how it is done right?

So I can't get a straight answer out of VaporShark. What are the chances of these devices shipping before the new year? I will be out of town and don't want the unit to arrive while I am gone. I've asked multiple times if they can hold shipment, but they respond by telling me I can cancel my order or (before the recent delay) that shipments would start on a certain date.

some people who have ordered before cyber monday havent gotten updates or emails from vaporshark on why they havent they received theirs yet. I think the main issue here is lack of communication, not people stating they can do a better job. dont come to conclusions just to insult others, its just beneath yourself.

I called yesterday, during business hours. Left a voicemail. No one ever got back in touch with me. Not trying to disprove that you have had great customer service, because clearly you have. But there are those of us out there who have not.

I'm just offering solutions to problems...ive never sat by the phone waiting for it to ring. Especially when I know there are 1600 orders for something and people trying to get the same answer in different ways, if I get a vs...which I did...i called back an hour or so later.
Looking at it from a production end, if I had to hire temps in production I would have also taken a portion of my phone sales to help their running fewer people on the phone.

I'm not trying to argue, I'm trying to give some constructive help.

Fir3, I understand you are not trying to argue, and neither am I. I would never argue with someone who has the Fett as their forum avatar.

But did you really say sit by the phone and wait for it to ring? You must be as old as I am then. Whippersnappers don't know anything about life without cell phones.

well, i found it refreshing that they replied to my email and posted that on their facebook page, as well as giving people 15$ free with the coupon (its a flat 15$ off your next order btw, i was able to buy other than VS juice and apply the code), i personally wouldnt compare them to bigger companies who have dealt with these kind of things already, and i see they are making an effort to reach out and try to keep their customers so i will be waiting for my vaporshark i ordered on cybermonday. I cant expect them to have everything thought out, as vaping is just getting large, and not everyone has the knowledge of how big of a business it got in such a short amount of time. Sure it sucks that i didnt receive what was 'promised' , but i personally am willing to give them that chance given all ive heard is positive reviews of the product.

Hrm, I sent them an email and they called me about cancelling my order. Like I said - it's not about not wanting a VS - i missed the Black Friday sale so going to see what happens with the Christmas sale (if they even have one - if not - I've lost nothing).

The DNA 30 and rDNA 30 dropped in price for the season ($99 and $139 respectively). They're giving an additional 10% off if you go to their store and drop off a toy for their Toys for Tots drive.

So, what do you think they are going to do with all the returned units? Any chance of them selling refubs down the road? Or will they keep the battery and send the chip to Evolv for replacment and throw the box away?

I only had my VS 2 days before I RMA it, They cant sell that one as new, it had a small scratch on it from my atty.

Especially for the price/s... show me another DNA40 (or 30, or 20) at this price point ~ and what with that 20% further off with the R2D2 monday!

Sure, rub it in. I paid full price for mine :p

Actually, I don't mind now that I have it and have used it. It's worth it even at full retail price.

With their shady practices, I wouldn't be surprised if VS tried to flip refurbs as new.

People, people, people......... It's a device worth waiting for. Were mistakes made? Yes. Is it anything you, yourself have any control over? No, not unless you want to cancel your order and wait again in line for another DNA40 device.

Frustrating without a doubt but in all honesty, with the board problems and VS trying to hand check every device the send out now you have to understand these things take time I'm glad they want to send out fully functional devices to everyone that ordered one.
