fb post-

Vapor Shark

Hello

We are expecting a shipment of devices on the first or second week of January as we do not have any in stock at the moment.

Once we receive this shipment we will continue shipping orders on a first come first serve basis. Cyber monday orders will be the first to ship.

You will receive the newly updated device and an email with shipping confirmation once it ships.

Thank you for your patience.

I ordered on Cyber Monday as well...I'm getting the feeling that I won't see this thing until the end of January at the earliest. Sounds like they have no idea when they will be receiving them. I just hope that after all of the changes and waiting that this thing WORKS and doesn't go wonky after 2 days like my rDNA 30 did.

I would imagine VaporShark will be suing either Fasttech and/or whoever produces this thing. Hana Modz is suing makers of cana mod and it doesn't even have the trademark on it. I don't think.... Anyway this came out like 2 weeks to late or I woulda bought one just for the size. But they should've made it a 40W+. I also think Evlov should have made their newest DNA board a 60W. They state in an interview with pbusardo that "Watts is the easy thing.." but fail to really explain why they only bumped the wattage up 10w. One would assume their business plan is not to give vaper's everything they want, and keep them on the look-out for the next board. Kinda like Apple does, instead of going all the way, they only add a few changes to their latest products.

I predict that over 5 years Evolve will continue upping the wattage 10-20w at a time, add puff counter, kanthal temp, touch screens, larger screens, menu depth, upgrade firmware, data storage, and also produce a pleasure model that....

If your familiar with the DNA40 boards and ni200 wire resistance you'll know that 40 watts is more than enough for the .10 - .14 ohm builds typically used on these devices.

I have tried various (non VS style) DNA "clones" before. They do not work anything like a real Evolv DNA chip - the "clones" often implement features incorrectly or miss them out all together, the power delivery is never as smooth or accurate, they don't seem to be very reliable over time, and there's next to no secondary market for them as they're so cheap in the first place.

I have finally learned you get what you pay for. I own both a genuine rDNA30 and a genuine rDNA40. For those of you waiting or still deciding, I strongly recommend you wait for the real thing, it is well worth it. If you really can't wait for a Vaporshark, I'd recommend any other genuine Evolv DNA40 device instead of going the clone route. Hana Modz, Vaporflasks, and Protovapors all seem to be fairly easily available now.

I would like to limit my temp to 400 degrees max - 390 even better, and have good vapor production on my VS rDNA 40

could someone suggest a NI200 gauge, and coil resistance I should shoot for in order to achieve this?

the RBA I am using is the genuine Hobo (not the clone) and the wicking is organic cotton and my juices are 100% VG

28g ni200 14 wraps on a 3mm rod should get you .14 +/- spaced coils not contact. Will perform admirably in the range you mentioned. Try 410 degrees (well below the burn point of dry cotton) and 20-25watts.
