What is wub wub. Congratulations
Cool! I just got mine delivered! So are the ohms supposed to stay steady or jump around? Mine is steady at .19 when I hit it, and I thought I saw that the resistance was supposed to jump around?
If you have to ask, you are too young to know.![]()
Congrats!
The ohms should stay steady on the reading of the coil cold. It might move a bit during the refinement process but after that, it should be steady (in TP mode).
Thanks KTMRider! I see, thanks for letting me know that. It did go down to .18 and hasn't moved. I was just wondering because this is my first nickel build and only had a cloned Magma available atm to build on.
What is the highest temp for Japanese cotton BTW?
Any time. The refinement periord will go for up to an hour after the last button press. When you put a new coil on the device, fire for 1 sec and let sit for 5-15 mins and it should set fine.
420°F is usually where cotton starts to singe. I've had mine set to 420°F since I got it. Tried a little higher but didn't make much of a difference so I stayed there. I'm using rayon though.
I got my shipping notice this morning(CM order #63609), now I can stop checking my email frequently and start checking the tracking info regularly. I'm excited that my first real mod should be here soon!
This might not be the best place to ask this but does anyone have any tips for twisting 30/32g Ni200? The tutorials I've seen involve using a cordless drill at low speed, I have a drill but it's a big heavy corded drill that doesn't do slow speeds very well. I'm also not sure if I should use 3 or 4 strands of 32g, if I do 4 I was thinking about twisting 2 twisted strands together. Lastly has anyone tried braiding it, I know from working on my boat that braided wire tends to be stiffer than the same gauge of twisted wire.
Apparently I'm too old to know.![]()
