I have 2 Qi chargers- one (Tylt type) it keeps flashing on like it's connected- not connected.
The other (small circle pod) works just fine; only it requires laying the device on it's side.

Is it possible my wall outlet (it came with my phone) is not supplying enough power? When I tried my first first wall outlet I tried (which came with my first 808 cigalikes). it just beeped and the light on the rDNA did not turn red. The outlet for my phone, the light turns red but it's kind of flaky.

One more question -- will the light on the rDNA turn another color when it's finished charging?

Fully charged it turns green.

Cant answer any of your other questions. All my chargers around here are Samsung rapid chargers. Got enough of them that they're all over the house.

I dont know what it is with this battery indicator on the VS40, i just got my vaporshark yesterday and when i fired it up out of the box, the indicator read 100%. Needless to say, the thing died of battery life ~ 2 hours into vaping, 0.5 at 30watts. Today after a night of charging, the battery indicator still reads 100% after 4+ hours of vaping

Mine does the same. Battery indicator is full the whole time up until the battery is getting low on charge. It seems that you can get quite a few vapes in before it finally dies. Kinda odd they went with this versus the showing the actual voltage of the battery at rest. It's sort of pointless to show full the whole time up to the point that it's starting to get low battery. it's weird... but I can live with it.. I guess.. :vapor:

Is this still true with the new ZIP charging whch just came out? It's faster than the old charging.

Ah, didn't think about that. Dunno what those are rated for but I would ASSume higher.

for wireless theyve stated 2amp min adapter:
https://m.facebook.com/vaporshark/posts/807556469292319

ive read it other places too.

Wireless isn't as efficient and loses about 20-25%. My Tylt Vu Qi charger charges the rDNA40 fine. It's slower than with a USB charger though. I have one of those puck Qi chargers and I use a 1a usb charger (Samsung) and it worked fine too but only used it to test it.

My first attempt at a nickel build was a failure, TP was kicking in way more than it should be and the cotton is still getting singed with it set to 420f. I thought that I didn't use enough cotton so I rewicked it and it's the same so I must have a hot spot.

I visually inspected the coil and didn't see any of the wraps touching, maybe if I set TP to 600 and fire it without a wick I can see where the hot spot is. If that doesn't work I'm going to try another coil, if I still can't get it going I'll probably leave it for another day.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Edit: Didn't see any glow with TP set at 600, turned it off and couldn't see any spots glow brighter but it glowed from the inside out which I didn't think a spaced coil would do. I think I need to do some more reading and youtube watching before trying to build another.

I had similar problems when the cotton wasn't touching coil at every wrap. This causes a really small hot spot which messes up the temp sensing. Wicking is really picky with nickel and temp sensing.

That would make sense for the first time I wicked it because it was fairly loose but the second time I got it pretty well packed, maybe it was too much cotton the second time.

It's been discussed. On startup it shows meter based on battery voltage. After you use it changes based on your wattage setting. It's trying to determine how much battery life based on how you use it. People with lower watts will see it looking full longer than those with higher watts. Kinda makes sense since lowering watts will increase how long you can use it.

Here's the thing.

The meter started kicking in tonight. It was about 60%. I took the batteries out and put it on my charger and the battery was discharged all the way down to 3.3 Volts. I haven't had any of my regulated devices (Flask(DNA40),IPV2,Hana(Dna30) go below 3.6 when the battery is at approximately 25% on the display which is where I usually change out the battery.

Wow a coincidence I'm rewatching pbusardo's with Brandon from Evolv and he's stating the lowest the battery will go down to is 2.75 volts.

I'm under the assumption that it's safe, but I still feel a little nervous letting the batteries discharge that low.
