Clearly more than just a ribbon cable issue.

Ya, pretty bummed out. I waited in hopes that all bugs were ironed out, but I guess they weren't. Anyone else have issues with theirs that they received recently? I'm still catching up with the thread, and I'm currently past the Cyber Monday shipping issue, where people are now receiving their units.

What's interesting to me is that it doesn't seem to be consistent with which version of the Evolv DNA40 that is used. I've got one that I received about a week after Cyber Monday. It's does not have the Celcius option, and has the small screen. It's been flawless with around 2 months of continual use. I really wish there was some sort of logic behind which boards were having problems...

Not sure if this has been discussed, but my nickel builds were going up in ohms by .02 and I began checking the usual connection points etc. I then noticed this started happening to all my attys. I finally found out by chance that this happens when the battery meter starts to go down (showing drain).
Why would battery level affect the reading of ohms??
And come to think of it.. all my .11 builds are reading .12 now, even with freshly charged battery.

Man, these VaporSharks.........or DNA40 chip..... not sure which is the culprit. Any advice??

I had issues with the very first batch. I waited until two weeks ago to send it back in hope that later versions would be free of issues. I received my brand new unit with the larger screen and had issues within an hour. Once the screen times out it goes back to normal but they definitely still have issues.

Well I got my DNA 40 Shark (dated 1/22/15) on Thursday. Started getting wonky by Saturday. It would scramble every now and then. Even did a slightly scrambled scrolling from left to right the other day. It works fine while scrambled / scrolling, and resets back to normal after the screen shuts off. But who knows how many times it's done it that I didn't see. It's so infrequent and goes back to normal on its own. It may have done it from the first day but I just didn't see it when it did. I email VS last night to get it repaired/replaced.

Other then the screen issue I'm really liking it. Especially the temp control since I don't draw the same every time. Sometimes I would get burnt tasting hits on my tanks from too light of a draw. I can see that difference now while watching the screen in TP mode using a mirror.

Hopefully the next screen will work, or at least be working correctly whenever I look at it. :)

Same issue here. Screen will return back to normal once it has returned from being timed out, but will soon get glitchy again.

First time it happened to me, it was definitely scrolling. Almost thought it was a new feature. Unfortunately, it would overlap and looked like junk while doing so.

Mine was dated 1/19/2015(Monday, go figure, lol). Looks like they got a bad batch of DNA chips.

I called in yesterday afternoon, and was asked to provided them with some shipping information, so they can send me a shipping label. Still haven't heard back, so I'm hoping to hear back from them today. Hopefully we can all get this issue resolved soon. Its a fantastic device when its working, and I'm looking forward to testing to different types of nickel build with different atties.

Anyone know if it still possible to pick up a VS rDNA 30 brand new. They are not listed on the VS site anymore. Tried calling a few of their stores but no luck. They have 19 total stores and really don't wanna call every one.

Vapor Kings claim to have both Black and Gunmetal in stock still ... I have not personally used VK but I can strongly recommend the Gunmetal rDNA30, I've used one daily for the last four months no usage issues ever and no problems with the finish ...

Thanks.

I was kinda hoping to grab one for the price that VS dropped them down to for the holidays. Right around $135. VK still have them priced at the original MSRP of $170. I have a rDNA 30 but would really like a second one.

Oh and VK is very reliable. I have dealt with them before without issue.

If you have a beyongvape B&M nearby, worth a shot. An employee told me they have a ton of stock circulating around.

Just looked at their site. They are asking $170 for the DNA30. No wonder they have a ton of stock. You can get them direct for under $100.

WELP. The smaller Vs dna40 is out! Contains a LG 2500mah battery (likely the HE2), and....

STAINLESS STEEL 510!!!!!

I probably should have been able to predict this. I got my rDNA30 shortly before the DNA40 was announced; got my rDNA40 shortly before the cyber monday orders were upgraded to Larger Screen; and I just ordered the Larger Screen rDNA40 this week, so it figures something new was due!
