Amp rating isn't high enough for high wattage vapers. If you vape under 20 watts, it should be fine. You can also find it much cheaper elsewhere.

2 for $16 shipped

its quoted as being 6.8amp discharge, not gonna cut it to get full use out of your dna40...or 30.

what ktm said...beat me to it...fast like speedy gonzales

hmm... well I've never actually gone beyond 20W. I'm usually running a nautilus BVC which seems to top out around 13-14 watts. Just got a new dripper but haven't gotten above 18 watts on that.

I'm currently running a VTC5 which I had put in upside down into my rdna30 - smoked the innards of the dna30 but the battery was ok, no bulging or cracking. It was in upside down for maybe 5 seconds. I've recharged it a handful of times but it doesn't hold a charge for very long. This is why I'm shopping around.

the rDNA30 got sent back and now I've got a skinny rDNA40 and a fatter wireless charger one... One thing I've noticed with both of the 40's is the battery level - even with the new LG battery that came with wireless rDNA40, it will show full charge for like two days of vaping and then just die on me. It either shows full battery value or dead. Aside from that no problems.

thanks guys, ~DF

I think over the months here, I've read every post of this thread.. But I still don't have it straight how the battery indicator is "supposed to" work. I keep hearing it takes the reading of the end of the puff/etc and calculates off that, hence why it's off for Nickel Alloy wire. But I'm using straight kanthal around 12.5 watts and will have full battery for 2 days, then from full to dead in a matter of like 30 minutes.

Can someone better explain what the deal is? And how it's intentional?

Is it planned so that it's telling you when it has enough juice left to reach any watt/amp need up to the max of 40 or something? So that when it drops, it's basically saying: "yeah I might not be able to meet all your needs and you might get some drop off"?

That's about the only thing I can think of at least.

I'm really wanting to pull the trigger on a RDNA40 VS. I have sold all my cheap chinese mods and I'm down to 2 Vapor flasks 1 DNA30 V1 and 1 DNA40 V2. I would like to have a second DNA40 device and have always wanted a Vapor Shark just apprehensive about the screen glitches and battery meter. I would like a device that I can swap batteries out easily since I always charge the VF's via USB. Should I wait awhile longer until all the bugs are worked out or do you think the RDNA40's are pretty stable yet?

Hmmmm. With the one I just sent back the battery level would gradually go down during the day. No surprises. Just a little lower each time I checked through out the day. Hope the new one works the same.

No email yet. Hopefully it'll ship out tomorrow. Sent it out Friday morning and was hoping to get it back before this weekend. I put all my best flavors in my Ni200 builds.

While checking out emoji's I think I found the emoji gremlin in my evolve board ... :matrix:

My RMA'd first batch/pre-order rDNA 40 found it's way home today....sort of.

When I opened the package what I found was a brand new, rubberized, big screen, zip charging rDNA 40. Has a 2 03 2015 date in the batt tray.

No VS customer service complaints from me!!!
How's the battery meter?

Haven't used it much but it still shows full.

Just re-built a KFL (kanthal not ni200) and filled it with a nice diy vanilla custard which will be my primary vape for tonight. I'll keep an eye on the batt meter.

My other big screen rDNA 40 from the CyberMonday sale has the goofy batt meter as described in this thread. With the easy batt replacement and zip charging, I don't pay much attention to the meter anyway.

How's the battery meter?

Got my tracking number yesterday. Shows 2-day priority. But nothing after scheduled for pickup. But then mine did that when sending it back to them. Showed nothing until out for delivery in Miami. Gotta love the post office. Anyway I'm hoping it comes in tomorrow otherwise with the holiday on Monday I won't get it until Tuesday. Dang that'll be 12 days on back up flavored liquids. Gonna have to redo some Kayfuns. I really need a back up so I can use those nickel builds incase something goes wrong again. Hmm could be a good reason to get a new dna4 shark.

What about Vapor Shark
Some people say it's good, others say its bad
I am confused in this matter
I have now ♥IPV3♥™

I'd like to meet some of these "others" who say it is bad and set them straight. :) The rDNA40 is a great device and I use it daily as my primary device.
