Ya know Briar I never thought of that but darnit if it doesnt make a boatload of sense. Me personally Im getting awesome flavor with full wicks regardless of what juice I use. Now I do make all my own with 100%Vg nic base + flavor. The only pg i add comes from flavoring. Maybe what I use in my mixes just wicks, and works better with long wicks.

Ill try cutting the wicks of an atty on my next empty tank just to see for the heck of it, although I really dont want to.

Did it ever get said why the 2.8ohm heads just have one thick wick, not 4 smaller ones?

I just tryed cuting the wicks..noticed a BIG flavor change:)

It looks like the wicks on the 2.8 are just twisted into 1 wick..if you untwist them they seem the same as the other heads

Well... I finally did a much needed test.

I've been using the v2.5 heads in both a v1 VN as well as a v2.5 and I had felt the v2.5 VN was doing better but I was also using different flavored juices in each so it was a bit inconclusive really.

I had also noticed that the short wicks did make a lot of difference on flavor increasing it by quite a bit... So I cleaned and dry burned two heads that I'd been using and trimmed the one with long wicks down ( I only had one set of short wicks to start with )...

I can say with this one test ( a day long ) ... that the v1 VN using the new heads doesn't work quite as well as the v2.5 VN. So in short... the new heads really make a difference in the v1 VN but they don't completely give you the same results that using them in the v2.5 VN does...

Disclaimers etc.... I'm not really surprised, after all why would they make changes for no reason but at the same time, just one set of tests doesn't make it definitive either.

I tried search to see if someone posted something similar i really did but this thread is 130 pages long and so with that said. Has anybody had the issue with their vivi nova v2 that its the perfect tank and gives you the best vape you ever had when its full at the 2.80ml mark but when it lowers to the 2.10ml mark it just suddenly starts giving you that acrid bone dry atty taste with almost no vapor or throat hit?. it is so strange that such a small decrease in liquid for me would change the performance of this tank so drastically especially considering that there is just so much juice left in the tank. Btw i always tip when i vape with this tank and ive tipped it almost at a 90 degree angle to try and get better performance.

exactly melloyello, it really is about choice, some people prefer filler cartos, some people prefer dct tank styles, some people will go insane for our new carto and your right there are some decent ones out but the majority still lack in certain areas and of course the same could be said about filler-less, but flavor wise its hard to topa bottom coil or top coil filler less. The advancements also have improved greatly, bottom coils and top coils are now the norm and work rather well but each person needs to see what works for them, the pluses and minus's of what they are using , its also good to try different products and see what suits you as a individual.

Question (hopefully not a dumb one!) - is there such thing as a filler-less cart that works in a tank? Like the idea or look of a Phoenix that goes into a tank? I just received my GV order (2 VN's) and they both work great right out of the box. However, I also like vaping from glass tanks, IMO has the cleanest taste I've vaped so far, but I'm a little bit worried about filler in cartos (should I be? - as far as is it safe to be vaping through that filler stuff?).

BTW - I would LOVE it if the VN could be made with glass tanks - I would be in vape heaven!!! Bad, do you think that's ever a possibility? I know they have the metal add-ons so why not glass??

I'm sorry, I haven't had anything like that happen to me... I have two of them (v1 with a v2.5 short wick head, and v2 with a v2 short wick head) down to .5 ml right now, and I haven't had any dry hits - well, one or two when I forgot to tip... The first one has a 50/50 liquid, and the second one has Boba's.

Yours is a short wick, right? Did you take it apart to see if there is anything impeding the juice flow, or, possibly, the coil is not wound right?

If you have long wicks maybe. Just read through the last 6 to 8 pages. Some good information in the last few days. I know the who 130 is allot.

I just got my vn 2.5 in today!! So far its working pretty good.. I got the 2.8 head on & it was reading 2.9 on provari... Loaded it with gv gummybear mmmmmmmmm good ;).. Its not flush with my provari but that is probably the way it should be with the airhole.. Its not to big of a gap... There is no wobble.. The rubber insert that was in the tip that it came with, I took it out & inserted it in my crome tip.. Made the draw better... Thanks to the poster that took pic of it cause I would not have known it was in there... I also tried that same crome tip on my bc phoenix & it sure improved the draw on that too...;) I also got the colored tanks... I really like the blue color..

The blue does look nice! Here is mine in red:

the heads for mine are the short wick version. I never took it apart but I looked at the atty coil and it looks like its wound really tight like its actually squeezing the wick, i don't know if that would have anything to do with it but other then that and maybe that the sleeve surrounding the atty is a bit off center that's all that really stood out to me. Its strange that you mentioned it has a .5ml marking on your tank as mine doesnt. It goes from 2.80,2.10,1.40,0.70,0.00. Is mine maybe a knockoff? now i am curious. Maybe that's the source of all my problems

In response to Sev00: Ty for that i will have to take a look :D

Mine starts at 0.00 and then goes to 0.70 etc...

But with the trouble I had trying to see it with the e-liquid in there... I could easily see someone misreading theirs.
yea it is quite a bit differcult to read haha. the other frustrating thing is i can never get this thing to line up well nomatter howmany times i take if off and put it back on i still have to hold my provari with the button in an awkward and uncomfortable position to be able to vape and have the liquid touching both sides of the wicks

An ego adapter may help, I know it helps on my LT

I naturally hold my Legacy at a 45-60 degree angle to vape using any type of vaporizer...

I only worry about keeping one side or the other of the wicks in e-liquid though no matter what type of CE2 style clearo including the VN. After the level drops down a bit... I do have to start tilting it more horizontal until when it is almost empty it's almost straight out. I will fiddle some with it when not vaping... like rotate my PV so the other side of the wicks are down etc... but I really don't have to worry much about it until it starts getting close to the end of the tank.

PS... the Legacy is an all mechanical mod with the button on the bottom. I use my little finger or the heal of my hand to engage the switch
