Agreed more testing is needed, but I assume ThebigD brings his preliminary findings to the group so many can try / test.

I believe the only point being made was that ThebigD made a blanket statement... they didn't state it as prelim, but as a fact which of course has yet to be proven yet...

Remember, most of us probably should live in Missouri... the show me state... lol

When I got my order yesterday, I had just filled one of my DCT tanks. So I only broke out one of three ViVi's. Well the carto in that DCT died today and I am into ViVi number two. This one is running Juicy Vapors Prickly Pear Peach. Little more brake in then ViVi number one, but same great flavor and vapor after the first few pulls.

I am running mine right out of the box. Next one will get a cleaning before placed into service.

Now to order a couple hundred heads and some more tanks before they quit making them!

Hi, I have been looking all over this thread and I have not found anything about the problem I am having. I have one of the orginal Vivi Nova's and have just started using it. I did take it apart and cleaned it good, first thing I noticed was the bottom post that sticks way out on the connector. I filled mine up a litte above the second from top line on the tube, I think it say's 2.10ml (bad eyes, lol). I let it set for an hour made sure the wicks were soaked good and I had a 1.8 head on it, the flavor was not bad at all. But I noticed after just a few vapes it was leaking really bad out of the bottom connector, I unsrewed it and my connector on my battery was full of juice. Yet when I let it sit for awhile on a paper towel it is not leaking.

Has anyone else had any problems with there's leaking like this? I did buy one of the newer versions this week and some of the new heads also but I wanted to see if maybee I would be able to get some use out of this one first. Any Ideas?

sounds like you might have just over filled, suggest you fill just slightly up to the bottom of the wicks. make sure the rubber cap is setting on top the Addy and don't push it down real tight, leave it up just a tad and let the top cap push it down as you screw it on.

could be other reason, i have never had one leak yet.

I wonder if its leaking around the wicks or where the head screws onto the stem. Have you tried keeping it vertical and taking a few hits off of it?

I posted about washing all the vivi parts but failed to mention i somewhat season the coil, i first give it several short burst on my device to make sure it still works after washing and rinsing it.
Then i use syringe and drop vg juice on it drop by drop as i firse it. I take my time and it helps coat the coil somewhat and then i fill up tank .
As a note i have plenty of vg laying around as i make my own e-liquid and vape 70pg/30vg/
The tank is wonderful for me with the 2.4 and 2.8 ohm heads .

Bad yes i know you folks are always coming up with surprises and never rest, how many hours a day do you actually sleep cause i see you in thread late/ ; )

My concern here is not with cleaning as such - heck, I wish I had cleaned my own head/s (!) and body/s (!) before using my ViVi/s. An alcohol bath is probably wise - it would remove all the oily residues and disinfect. I really wish I had thought of that before giving in to my impatience and using it...

I don't really see how it will improve the longevity, but never mind that, I suppose it's possible, somehow.

Dry-burning, on the other hand - hm. If anything, I'd imagine dry burning decreases the longevity of the coil. I'm totally against unnecessary dry-burning... It doesn't make sense to me. But, as usual, I could be wrong - but 'xplain, then. :D

Well there very well might be something to this. If the soak and dryburn is to remove chemicals or contaminants from the manufacturing process. Who here would buy new dishes, glasses or plastic storage ware, and not wash before the 1st use? Ever buy a new shirt and if you wear it new it seems hot and doesn't breath? Most wash before the 1st wearing.

Agreed more testing is needed, but I assume ThebigD brings his preliminary findings to the group so many can try / test.

I can only imagine, but if there is any residue or smutz on the coil, if you dry burn first it has a chance get rid of that, but once you start vaping it sticks with the juice residue causing uneven heating across the coil leading to popped coils? I dunno, it makes sense to me because most of the coils I've popped had uneven gunk balls. As long as that gunk ball stays nice and centered I can use it and clean it and dry burn with impunity, but as soon as that gunk ball goes off center it is very likely to pop. But maybe thats just me

One thing I would add, don't use rubbing alcohol. It is toxic. Use Pure grain alcohol (PGA) such as Ever Clear. Or if your near West Virginia, some moon shine...lol

Or vodka, if you know, corn will kill you (and vanilla vodka if you like dessert vapes);)

Some people have bad hair days. I'm having a bad Vivi day. And it's not the ViVi's fault... Sigh. I think too much nic from all the vaping... eh... testing in the last couple of days has numbed and befuddled my brain.

I upended one, forgetting that I just took the lid off. Juice. Everywhere. I chain-vaped the other, forgetting that I just changed the coil, and they really do need a bit of a break-in period sometimes, and a 2.0 Ohm coil on a Provari set at 4.5 V especially so. Throat hurts. A lot. And I catastrophically flooded the third, forgetting for a moment that it was a Frankentank - v2.5 head on a v1 body - and there was a gap between the lid and the coil hat, and filling it over the top. Juice. Everywhere. Again.

"GV never sleeps." I think that's a direct quote.

And oddly enough, neither do their customers. You think its a chicken egg thing? Like maybe us insomniacs gravitate over here because the owners are insomniacs, or they are insomniacs because we are all over here, or some of the people are insomniacs because they never know when the gv insomniac owners are going to drop bombs. I dunno, its too much to think about on my duly prescribed physician monitored cocktail of drugs that explicitly state they aren't supposed to be mixed :D

I was just about to ask about this... I know rubbing alcohol is toxic, so I ordinarily use Vodka. But I'm out. What if I rinse the stuff really really well afterwards, do you still think it's dangerous?
