LOL. I just soak in hot water myself, vodka if needed, let dry, dry burn - just like I do with stardusts. I'll throw them when this doesn't work anymore. If they're like the stardusts, that'll be in a few months.

I like fiddler over modder or tinkerer......

Edit: The LOL was for the microwave discussion. Not laughing at you kwalka - nice detailed post - thank you
I use a PGA soak for the Chinese attys.
IMO, as long as there is current flowing to the coil in the Vivis and other tanks, my method will bring it back to new with patience.

Tinkerer. I just cant get past the implications of what that word brings. Fiddler, makes me think of a guy dancing on a roof. Modder, now were talking highly skilled, properly tooled, master PV creator. Maybe one day I will reach that title. :D

Yeah, I like tinkerer too. It's just that, when I do it, it feels more like fiddling. Tinkering, I think, is a step up - that's probably what you do. :)
NONONO!!! :-] I am a full fledged modding extraordinair. I will not be labeled a tinkerer or a fiddler. That just sounds like something one could be arrested for. Are we clear?

Oh, I am so sorry, I didn't realise you were a fully fledged modder extroadinaire. I bow to your superior skills.

But, I'll have you know that fiddling and tinkering were well respected professions long before they gained the connotations you are thinking about it. I think you owe all us proud fiddlers and tinkerers an apology. :)

You people have filthy minds, I will have you know I am a 6'-2", 330lb woodframer, who has been running jobs with hundreds of carpenters for years, and, well, ... I have never. I am appauled, I am beside myself.
To all you fledgeling fiddlers and tinkelers, if I have crossed the line and offended anybody please accept my sincere apology. I am humbled by.... Ok I'm going to cut the crap right there its getting pretty deep in here.
All in good fun my fellow vapers. Happy 4th and vape On.

After a bit of thought, if I'm not mistaken, isn't the coil oxidized by the time it needs to be cleaned therefore its non-conductive? Or are you saying that as long as the metal is submerged there wont be a light show? Your avatar does kind of make me think of Mr Wizard's World. :) Thats the experiment guy right.

EDIT : now that I give your avatar another look, he definetly looks like the kind of wizard who would put metal in the microwave:-]

I have put all kinds of metal vaporizers in the microwave, some of them quite big like the Echo Carto. As long as they are under water (I make sure there is at least one inch of water over them) and there has never been a hint of a light show. :)

Thank your for the Wizard analogies, I think? :)

I can just see this. Headline: A man blows up his microwave and ends up in the hospital - electronic cigarette responsible!

That's a good one Briar and not too farfetched. :)

Anyone uncomfortable with my method certainly shouldn't even consider it. If they did there is a good chance their Microwave would reach the end of it's scheduled lifespan right in the middle of boiling a carto then my method could become as taboo as stacked batteries. :)

The wizard analogy is definetly a compliment, as far as my memory goes Mr Wizard was a very intelligent chemist or scientist. However my edit to the post was definetly crossing over into the Alice In Wonderland part of your avatar. Upon farther review, of course your avatar is a bit off his rocker because hes smoking, a cigarette of course.

I have an official announcement to make. Let the record show if I had posted a statement about being a tinkler, and intended to say tinkerer, I would of edited it and posted something along the lines of riding the short bus.
Now could somebody please clarify for me the difference between a tinkerer and a fiddler. I think a tinkerer or fiddler vs a modder is pretty clear. I am having trouble distinguishing a tinkerer from a fiddler. One last thing, at what point do we start a new thread for the aforementioned stereotypes, and microwaves?
