BAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I absolutely love it when he says things have reckless throat hit. I still die every time he says it lol.

Reckless , Reckless , Reckless ... just for you Casey!

I'm sure Steve won't mind Grimm telling everyone about his rad new device with the reckless throat hit either.

i have a feeling the V2 will be both RAD and RECKLESS!

I know Grimm's vids kick ... - my fav is still when he lost his device inside his car :p

ha ha ha... oh man that was an adventure for sure. Grimes you are one of my oldest subscribers i think. Thanks for sticking around this long buddy!

be warned , whenever i go watch my old videos i think to myself..."my god , was i really this boring?" ha ha...

Your videos have deffinately evolved right along with the e-cig industry itself. Can't wait to see your V2 review. I'm ordering 2 anyway, I just like watching your vids, just to see what band t-shirt you're wearing. Keep on vapin'!

There should be an option to get a Prodigy V2 with no logo engraved on it at all. No offense, GrimmGreen, but I don't really dig that design.

ha ha , don't worry buddy , no offense taken... you're wrong... but no offense taken :)

i logo-less prodigy would be a good idea , i agree...

Grimm's logo is clearly the people's choice. He's won it fair and square. If any logo deserves to be on the Prodigy V2, it's his. It's a good, purposeful logo. Whether or not the gradient V is going to work in laser etching I cant say.

I love Sidora's #1 logo, it's well designed and it's the only one I voted for besides mine. Not that I didn't like other logos, but If mine couldn't be on the Prodigy then I'd most like Sidora's #1. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of Sidora's #2. No offense to those who think it looks cool, it does. But...

type is wrong. It's like typographic homicide. Type is not designed to be stacked, it's designed to be read from left to right. In my humble professional opinion, it's breaking the rules. Breaking the rules can be a good thing if it's done for the right reasons. I think the reason here is simply because, the Prodigy stands up on it's end. But the amazing thing about good typography and design is that it can set horizontally, turned vertically and still be readable.

Look at the Prodigy V1; properly set - well designed type. It looks good standing on it's end, and it looks good while held vertically.

This is just what I was taught as a designer, perhaps it was simply my professor's opinion but I think he's right.

My point here is this:

Grimm has virtually won the contest as started and run by Puresmoker and ultimately the decision will be up to them.

This idea of an optional logo is hard to imagine. Think of the debacle Steve and Casey would face. "Sorry guys were all out of the blank Prodigy V2's, but we should have some with logo's coming in a few days."

I would be totally cool with the lone PS logo like the Protege.

But, what do I know?

Thanks for taking that in the spirit it was offered. I'm a designer too, so I'm keenly aware that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think it's cool that your design is winning, and I'll gladly buy a V2 with your work on it. No hard feelings.

Totally agree with you Curtis. When i saw people talking about vertical text, i knew it would look weird, i posted my vertical version to increase my chances, but i was not liking it much (never thought it would go further than my #1). The human brain read words, not letters, so when you stack text, it takes an extra effort to read it + it always looks unbalanced (maybe a square font would work better for that).

back in the initial Prodigy V2 logo contest thread i put out the idea to keep it simple...see posts 10, 35, 52, and 86).

but puresmoker didn't include that as an option to vote on in this thread. that's cool, but nonetheless there seems to be a growing number of voters who have voter's remorse and/or like myself, just wish they could have had a simple, sleek option to vote for in the first place.

having said that, i'm among the biggest puresmoker and biggest grimmgreen fans on the forum. to me, the two are a perfect marriage for new users, and having grimm do review of a free prodigy v2, with or without his "winning" design on the unit itself just seems like smart business sense and a great way for those not already firmly committed to purchase the v2 (i.e. nonforum users that comprise the larger YouTube viewing populace) to get an enthusiastic and entertaining 10 minute sensory introduction. grimm's design is cool, and honestly all of the submissions were great, but just not what i'd like to see on the latest, greatest pv from a classy company like pure smoker. that's my two cents, and it doesn't even by penny candy in this day and age.

so while we wait for steve and casey to chime in, maybe we can all think about how much we'd like to see grimm's design, or any others, replace the tried and true ps and/or prodigy logo at all. if grimm's is even possible, would we prefer to have the ps logo as the default option, and maybe grimm's as a limited edition???

i thoroughly appreciate the fact that steve and casey even thought to have a contest and involve customer feedback and individual submissions. i think that says a lot about the value that we as customers have in their business approach. but nevertheless, keeping it simple takes the existing consumer base in mind while also appealing to an unknown aggregate with a myriad if aesthetic desires and disidentifications.

I'm glad you agree, and don't blame you for trying to increase your chances. Sometimes you have to give people what they want.

Honestly, when I get ready to buy a V2 I'm not going to care what's etched on it. Just lemme have it!

I didn't have time to enter but figured I would join the discussion. Laser etching is ok and all but I was wondering if you considered embossing it like the V1 (from what it looks like in the pics anyway, I never owned a v1, only the protege). I don't know how easy/not this is but if you could extrude the letters right under the button of whatever logo (looks like Grimm's so far) it would make for some good grip. Then Grimm's gradient could just be a taper in the beveled edge.

Here is a rinky-dink logo just for example.

no , never hard feeling SurfMonkey , i have all kinds of respect for you buddy

i just hope the people that voted for my design... actually want it on THEIR Prodigy V2 , it would be kind of depressing if after all this , Steve is left with an office full of Logo'd Prodigys ... because everyone wants a blank one... :)
