Does anyone know when the Eclipse will be available?

Visitlynn, Many of the PV's are excellent as the opinions below suggest, I have heard great things about the darwin, and it is portable, great battery life, and has its own cult following, a little expensive, the Provari is also great and once you set your voltage, you are good to go, the Reo is excellent and the Ali is great. It is PERSONAL taste, no right or wrong decision. I have been waiting for the Eclipse for so long and no telling when it will be ready. It will run about $300 and is larger than all the others mentioned.

Umm yeah, I've seen several posts from alldayvape and I'm pretty sure he's a real darwin fan but, even he says...

I wasn't trying to knock the Darwin or the Provari for that matter. I was questioning the wisdom of spending that kind of money for that kind of technology in this environment. For VV right now, I think a voltmeter and a volume knob is about as far as you should go. That's an opinion not a pronouncement. :)

He has one of Shan's mods...I do not, so I run it on a Darwin. I've never tried one over 5v...maybe it is amazing or something, but the DCs seem to be working fine here. Any hotter than this and the back of my throat would blister! The vape is like a steam train as it is...I'm not auditioning for a rock-concert prop. And...even toned down to 4.2v these things are sucking down juice like crazy.

I do like the DC cartos...but I dunno that I'd go out and buy a special mod and batteries to stack and a charger just for these.

When I got a Darwin, I didn't see it as buying into the VV part of it as much as the battery type, warranty, and form factor of it all. I looked at less expensive mods for weeks...but by the time I added all the batteries and chargers and stuff...the price differences started narrowing really quickly.

I suppose if you already have a nice collection of batteries, chargers, spacers, etc.....then yeah...it'd certianly make more sense to get mods that fit them :)

Yes don't get me wrong, the VV Shan Mods work great. IT'S ALL YOU THEORETICALLY NEED! But let's face it, I could also drive a Chevy Metro, but I'm driving a Mercedes.

Bottom line, and it's been said many, many, many times: It's all about personal preference (more or less). With the same breath I would like to mention though, that the Darwin dollar for dollar delivers more features than the ProVari. It's a fact the Darwin automatically adjusts the voltage to keep YOUR desired wattage. It's a fact that you have more options to fine tune your 'sweet spot' with the Darwin compared to the ProVari.

None of that means you need to get a Darwin or ProVari, because a simple VV mod from Madvapes or Shan will work great.

For what it's worth I use my Reo Mini more than any other mod I own. :D

I agree with Alldayvape, I would like to have a darwin, and will someday, but I spent a lot on the Provari, and Ali'i and they are good too. I also want a Reo and and a Eclipse and I want ........but just spent a fortune on rebuilding the downstairs for my kids, new 55" and surround sound, new furniture, hardwood floors, new roof, new windows in the house, etc. Priorities change when you have kids! What mercedes do you drive Allday?

I hear you JWebb, I'm soon moving to a different city and need to save every penny I make. But more importantly, I think I hit a point with Ecigs where I'm done buying everything and anything. I have everything I ever need; juice, hardware, and mods. It's time for me to just say "STOP", and start spending or saving my money on different, more important things.

I bought a 2003 ML500 last year. Paid in Cash. No payments to make=Heaven!

There is a lot of hype in the Ecig market, new products will always come out. The vendors WANT us to spent all our money on their products. I won't anymore! There are more important things in life! I'm just happy I finally understood that!

Live On, Vape your Ego, Reo, Darwin, ProVari, GG, Buzz, etc etc!

And I drive a 2000 Saturn wagon. However, I also have another one in my garage with the engine out. More the tinkering type. I can appreciate the desire for the best. However, in this landscape, that's a very slippery position. The problem is you can slip clear to useless, if the technology is too sophisticated.

It comes down to one simple thing money and that's all relative to what someone has. There are people that buy Montblanc Pen.
I thought it was crazy till I had one. I said I would never buy the Revo sunglasses many years ago when they where the best out and I received them as a gift and once i used them, I new if i had lost them I would buy a pair after i used them. Like I said it all comes down to nothing more than money, if you have plenty than its just a different leave of so what who cares spend it.

I've had both Darwin and Provari... I settled on Provari because imo it's easier to use.
Some won't accept my opinion on that score but like the other Vari user said, how hard is it to click 5 times to go up or down in voltage?
The button is much easier to click, and even if the Darwin has a wider range and adjusts for watts, I still am getting the best possible vape from attys in 2.2 Ohm to 4.+ Ohm range. In fact it's too easy.

If you want to get the skinny on either of these, go to the main threads (Darwin / Provari) and read from the get go... you'll see what's what...

IMO if I couldn't get a Provari, I'd get a Darwin again... they're the only regulated power "smart" pv's out there (infinity notwithstanding, and Eclipse not out yet).

Dual coil cartos on a 3.7 ??? fine... it's still a carto, and imo there is no vape as good as a perfectly dripped vape on an atty (any atty) that is fed by regulated power; each and every time.

Bottom feeders ? not close imo. I'd rather drip on a SB.
