Since it really is a cool name and members have posted that they think of it as tongue in cheek, I've reconsidered my position on ProVarinati. We could have a sticky explaining that being in the cult is optional.

I've been experimenting. It is the url length the signature is picky about.

My current signature is an example. I tried to link it to the Deaddog Saloon, but the url http ://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/provari/484650-provarinati-deaddog-saloon.html was too long; however, I could link to the forum itself (forum/provari).

The HHV Army url is http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/hhv-army/ which also worked fine. "The" is dropped from forum urls.

"ProVarinati Saloon" tests okay, so "The ProVarinati Saloon" would be okay for a name, as long as the url ends up being ...forum/provarinati-saloon

Actually, this will likely be less of a problem for most of you, since I have a lot of BB code going on in my signature.

I do see how ProVarinati could cause problems. Yes it would invite some trolls, but the ProVarinati can deal with them with dignity. I would hate, however for the trolls to start slandering in other sub forums, referring to it as the "ProVarinazi" area (which, b my book, as soon as someone starts calling another person a "nazi" or a "communist", I instantly know that person does not have an intelligent thought of their own.).

of course, then there would be the occasional newb who wanders in, half reading the name, and seeing TinaJaxFl posts, and thinking the sub forum is the ProVaritina room- some kind of tribute to her.

I personally don't have a problem with the "saloon" and "bar" names, however, I believe it could possibly alienate someone who has personal convictions against alcohol and drinking, and out of respect for them I would vote against those names.
An alternative could be the "ProVari Kool-Ade stand". Kool-Ade would not be offensive to them, and would be a tongue and cheek dig at the "cult status"

An idea could be the ProVari Sauna ... Going off of the steam/vapor theme...

Then again, the ProVari is something special, as are the people here, so ProVarinati room could be something to be proud of

At the end of the day, I would be happy with whatever name is chosen. For the name is not important.. The banter between all of the awesome people in this room is what it is all about.
