wordupecig - I'd never heard of it, so I checked out their website. In addition to the 510, they're selling something called a 520. New to me. Gotta find out more. Of course, this is the same site that calls a mini e-cig in a Smoore's box a DSE 401.;)

I'm not too sure, but I think the 520 is a 510 with a mega battery.

I have purchased extras for gifts this season and will give them with the exception that if you decide to not vape and stay with analogs-they must be returned to me! I will be watching.

ya i have not seen a pv user either, as of yet.

except travis/ vaperstix.com but not a person out of the blue.

Yeah, he also calls the RN 4081 a DSE 4081, so the 520 may just be his naming of another standard model.
Although I'm not promoting him because I could have paid less for what I bought from him, he was friendly enough and produced the goods.

Like most of you I only know of maybe two other people who vape, on the other hand I remember when no one had home computers (and SWORE they would never catch on) and no one bought anything on line either because they "simply HAD to hold something in their hands before could buy it".

If given the chance, vaping will go the same way. It will go along the way it is for a while then reach a certain point and go "viral". which is exactly why BP and BT are so scared of them.

I actually saw a man with an e-cig at the mall today! I was staring, but trying not to look like I was staring. I didn't approach him though, he looked pretty grumpy (Black Friday crowds heh). But it definitely was an LED at the end. We see dozens of smokers every time we go to the mall (outdoor mall), but with my new interest in e-cigs, it's like I've got e-cig radar. :w00t:

These things should be pretty popular here, as this state is extremely anti-smoking, yet I personally know lots of smokers. Seeing that guy at the mall out of the blue makes me think it might have a chance to catch on here.

I live in a small town and there is lots of interest in the bars , I asked a local smoke shop if they had them and they did not but 1 week later I heard they were now carrying them !

I just went to Turkey day at my bro's house ( X smoker ) and vaped all day IN THE HOUSE , it tripped him out :D loved that !

Anyhow I personally think that E-cigs will take off in the next year or so , there are to many advantages.

I smoked for 35 years and tries EVERYTHING to quit , patches, gum,CHantix ( Kill yourself , FDA approved ??? ) hypnosis.
E-cigs WORKED FOR ME ( I cant believe it ? )

I broke my heel bone BAD , the doctors said NO SMOKING ( increases healing time 40-70% ) SO I found e-cigs and tapered off my analogs over 2 weeks NO problem:)

Have yet to run into another vapor.I've introduced it to many at bars and such. So far six have joined me, 2 I personally placed orders for. Out of that only 1 has completely stopped analogs. (I did see a guy in a menaporsche with one but that struck me as an affectation.) 15 minutes west of downtown Chicago you'd think there would be more but then again I don't go out clubbing like I used to.

The main 2 questions I get all the time are: How much are they? and, How long do they last? If they were cheaper and better they would catch on more. They are still fairly new. Most of the better ones are mods or home use only. Or too bulky for public, like the janty stick. I have never seen anyone vape except the person I bought it from and the people who tried mine. Not everybody likes them. Most do but can't afford it. Many refuse to try. Why buy a $55 dollar kit if it's only gonna last me an hour? If we had something double the thickness of a standard vaporizer that was still shaped like a cigarette, I think they would catch on more. I think making 510's longer to try to please the public is the wrong way to do it. Everyone carrying around a 7 inch stick.. C'mon! Get real. The technology and know how to make something that really works and lasts all day without changing and would be safe to the public is all over this forum. I am perfectly happy with my 510 and mega battery. 5 hours average is great. But It would be nice if I didn't have to change the cart multiple times a day and even nicer if the battery lasted all day. Adding liquid in public is unacceptable. Make it work all day, then more people might be interested. But I don't want a 7 inch vaporizer. That's just stupid. A 510 with a mega battery is pushing the size limit and now your gonna go and make longer attys and carts. We are a small group, and we will remain small until we make something that can please the masses. Small, Powerful, Portable, and Long Lasting. I say to the business owners, know what the customers want. I say to the suppliers, Know what will work and sell. I say to the modders, share your ideas and secrets. I saw to the watchers who read but never post, Speak up. Let's hear what you have to say. I say to regular idiots like me, don't be biased towards only one vaporizer or company. I love my 510 as it is, But it can be so much better and more appealing to the public. We all need to work together, instead of compete.

I just got mine in a few days ago, before this I had only heard of a friend of a friend trying it. That was when I was in Texas (where apparently it has caught more than here based on the amount of people with Texas in their info)... I was interested one day and looked it up (think this was after hacking up part of a lung when I had a cold).. found MoobyGhost on youtube and he said he liked the product. M601/M602 hybrid kit. Was a good new choice for newbs..

Ordered it and haven't smoked an analog since.

I just found out another person at work tried vaping a couple weeks back. He ordered a smokestik. He said, however that after a week, it just didn't work. Produced no vapor at all. He's now back on analogs. I'm trying to do some research into problems that smokestik might have, because he said if I can figure it out, he'll go back to vaping.

Other than him, I get questions about it every day. Gets a little annoying when I'm just trying to enjoy a smoke (read: vape). But I answer any questions, and I'm genuinely excited to share, so I suppose I can deal with it until everyone knows. Or I could print out a box of cards with all the information on it.. and just hand it to them.

I read about these when they were introduced and thought, thats silly, I'll stick with my cigarettes.

About 3 months ago a neighbor came over and said she had quit smoking with a 901. She loaned it to my wife. I watched for a while (and hacked and coughed) and decided to try it. So I've seen them but thats it.

The store near me has sold out of the Njoy Pro and hasn't restocked. I suspect if they worked as well as mine did I won't see them either.

I've only seen 3 others from Alabama on this forum. I'm in the middle of the state and two of them are at opposite ends of the state.

We have a Smokeanywhere kiosk at one of the malls. So there has to be some one else around here?

Although the cartomizer-based e-cigs are not my favorite, I think that concept is the way to rope people in, especially if you make the batteries a bit smaller and put them in a cigarette pack-sized PCC (e.g., M702/Revolver Elite or the 901 PCC). Some of you may know that I've just described the GreenCig G300.

I don't own that expensive kit (although I really like the GreenCig carts on KR808D-1 batteries) - and I'm not pushing that brand - but I think it is the role model for what would captivate most smokers. Don't make them change too much. As much as I respect them (and I own a Prodigy), mods/hybrids are off-putting to newbies; you'll never seduce large numbers with those.

Mass produce something along those lines (to drive the price down) and market the hell out of it.

I was converted by a co-worker, and now I see several people using them at work (I work at Kennedy Space Center in FL. It's a big place with several thousand employees.)

They're catching on like crazy there. Many people approach me almost daily and want to get one.

They're also popoular at my VFW Post. Everybody there smokes, and so far, I've gotten nearly a dozen people on them. Most haven't quit entirely, but they have cut down, so that's a start.

I get so many questions and requests for starter kits that I've started buying them in bulk and always having them with me. With bulk discounts, I'm able to sell 510 starter kits for $35, which is what I pay for them.
