Hmmm, I am thinking that you're probably NOT missing Minnesota right about now MN :) we have quite a nice Blizzard going on right now! Just got in from 2 hours spent clearing the driveway... will have to do it a few more times before this one is over :( and then after all this fun... we get a nice sub-zero plunge, they're calling for wind chills of -35:shock: looks like you got out just in time:thumb:

I was born in Connecticut and lived there for 24 year. After that, I lived in Maine for about 9 years while I was working for a Semiconductor up there. When it hit 55, I was outside in shorts and a T-shirt. At 65, we were swimming in the lake. The water was warm once it hit about 50.

Now I have been living in Florida for over 6 years. At 70, I am wearing a jacket. At 65, my teeth are chattering.

It is funny how the body adjusts.

Same with me. When we moved from Chicago to Florida, we left all of our coats, jackets, winter clothes, etc. By the second year, we knew it was a huge mistake. Now we have coats and winter clothing again. I agree that part of this is because of adjusting to the climate, but I also think it's because of our high humidity. When it's 50 here, I feel as cold as I do when I'm in Chicago and it's in the 20s.

Was there a major cold front in your area this past week? It was so cold here! This weekend is warmer, but the temps are going to drop again on Monday.

LOL, enjoy it! I really don't mind the weather here... actually enjoy it, the only gripe I have is that the blizzard has stopped the mail-man from delivering my juice:cry: so now I have to wait till Monday to get it....

I saw that you are getting more snow then you have had in decades. But I thought that the mail is supposed to be delivered in rain, sleet or snow? lol Not a good enough reason to keep your juice from being delivered IMO. I am in SC and our high today was 32. Expected low tonight is 13. It looks like it will be a long and cold winter.

It's cold here too. :( Tonight, it's supposed to drop to the high 20s. I hate it. The only good thing is that we're able to use our fireplace (a rarity).

Hawaii appears to be the only state in the country where you're safe from winter now.

Strange weather... It's supposed to be in the 20s again tonight. This shouldn't happen in Southeast Florida. :grr: Record breaking temps the last few days. Fortunately, it will be sunny and in the low 70s Thursday afternoon.
