Can I check with veterans here, if the mod gets very heated, is it because of the Atty or there's a short circuit somewhere? The mod is still firing but seems there's a lot of heat generated on the body of the paps.

If your button feels hot, then you're having shorts.
It all depends on what coil you do. Sub ohm coils usually tend to get hotter then usual.
