My nJoy experinec was very much like yours butI see nJoys more frequently around then other ones of the same caliber, at least around here so they are very often the 'into' to vaping for many people. Blu's are showing up more frequently but seemed to show up other places before they ended up in the 7/11. nJoy has a rechargeable kit that is a bit better then their disposables but they use the pre-filled carts and the taste of their liquids can be a problem for some. They have different strengths of nicotine but only one menthol and one non menthol flavor. I found the draw very hard - of course its an automatic which usually means you have to draw to activate rather then push a button and inhale but I found it hard enough to the point I felt like I was really struggling t get any vapor. I have heard and read a lot about this from people who say it is one of the first things they notice in comparison to an analog - how much work it is to vape it compared to getting 'smoke' in from an analog. Also, the nJoy does not have the vapor production of even the blu so you don't get much vapor on inhale and for those who enjoyed seeing a smoky exhale from an analog nJoy is going to leave them wanting. As a gateway experience I think blu is the better choice but anything that gets anyone thinking about the vape alternative is a good thing. I just worry sometimes with as prevalent as nJoys are getting and what seems like a poor experience a lot of people have - how many go back to analogs using that experience as to what vaping is like and they never find out that there are much better options out there.I will say that the nJoy does look (because of the carts decorated to look like filters) and the feel (its heavier but not so much that its a take away from it) of a analog and that's often very important to people.
Hopefully, most do as the OP and take the next step and find out just want the real vape experience is and that it is a perfect alternative but there are some people lost along the way and it would be great to see some other gateway products but there. There had been a post where someone had asked why there was not a disposable ego type of of entry product where people could try out a vaping set up that would give them a much much better experience. Although I have never seen a disposable ego, I notice that the smoke shops are starting to carry a very basic (low mHa) ego battery, charger and the CE4, in a plain bubble pack, for a price not much more then a couple of njoy or blu disposables. Of course you probably won't see these in the convenience stores since the juice has to be purchases separately but I am glad to see it since its a really good introduction without someone having to start out investing 30 dollars or more (which can be a turn off). The only problem with that is many people just getting interested are more likely to see one in a convenience store then go looking for a smoke shop and even know that many carry vaping supplies. Once more people figure out that you can get some analogs cheaper at a smoke shop/tobacco store and start going there to save money over the convenience/gas station priced analogs - maybe more will find the gateway bubble packs.
Actually I would not be vaping if it had not been for the owner of the local smoke shop I frequent. My nJoy experience was bad enough that even the chargeable one I tried to see if it was better turned out to be a waste.. The experience with the nJoy simply left me thinking people were crazy to think vaping was a definite replacement/alternative to analogs. The local smoke shop owner though I was spending too much money on cigarettes and smoking too much and introduced me to the ego with a clearomizer and even let me try it out in the store saying he would not make have me pay for it if I did not find it an very viable alternative and would just treat it like a return.
Needless to say - I did not have him treat it as a return. At first I was chuckling about how he did this and now would lose money because I would not be buying analogs. I know that joke was on me when I discovered all the different devices he had available, juices that were lining threes shelves, boxes of different types of clearo, cartos, tanks etc. that I started buying. I know many of the things I bought from him I could get cheaper online - and do go online for a whole lot of my stuff but I feel I owe him a great deal for getting me to vape so want to continue to patronize him.
That very first ego battery is still with me and not just as a backup. I use it almost daily and in some cases with some of the tanks I have like it better then other batteries I have. I like toys, so I guess that is my excuse for often getting the next or newest best or what have you, plus I enjoy discussing with others what they think of one product or another and feel I have to try it to talk about but that original battery is still trucking along and doing its job and certainly I did not have to upgrade that battery to continue to have a good vaping experience. I just wanted to. It definitely was not a case where the bubble pack starter set was lacking and I was chasing and ideal or something. If you don;t chase the upgrades and avoid never seeing a bottle of juice you have to try you can save a lot of money.
I won't say I think you will be happy with what you just bought as you sound like you are already there and you probably are being a lot smarter then I was abut being content
