Easiest way to choose what battery to use is determine how many watts you use for vaping, and then choose the battery that has the appropriate amp rating for that wattage setting.

WATTAGE PER SINGLE BATTERY on REGULATED mod
:
(Total wattage doubles using 2 batteries; Triples using 3 batteries.)

You haven't said where you're located. There are reliable vendors in the US, and I know Mooch lists some in the UK as well, but your country matters as to what you have access to.
I am in the UK put a bit extra on shipping shouldn't be a huge issue, but I'll try find a few of the UK ones from Mooch

There's a chance that the Vape Shop might be inadvertently or knowingly selling fakes if they are indeed claiming to be one of the major brands. That being said even though these are rechargeable batteries they're not rechargeable indefinitely. They do have a useful life span at which I hear is usually in the 300 recharges plus neighborhood but can be extended with certain practices or even reduced with certain practices

Yeah I believe this is probably the case, it was a lot sooner than 300 recharges that they've given up on me

Hi Oli,

On top of the good info you've received so far, it may be worth looking at the charging as well. You said you're using an Xtar. That's a good start as they're a reliable brand, but do you know what model charger you're using? More importantly, what's the charging rate?

You'll generally get the most life out of the 18650s we use for vaping if you charge at .75 amps or less. 1 amp isn't really a problem, but when you get up to 2 or more amps you can really start losing cell life. For some people the trade-off of quicker charging makes it worthwhile, but it depends on your priorities.

Oh great this is helpful to consider, I'm not sure which, it's battered and bruised (still works perfectly fine but the text has all rubbed off)
I'm gonna be getting a new one anyway so I'll definitely take this into consideration, thank you!
